Hi,
The ubisoft support not working. Its impossible to send a question. The system propose same answer " Solved Problem" to clic it.
So i would like to report the same issue than watch Dogs.
5.1 surround system DTS - Dolby Digital not working.
My drivers is up to date.
For watch dogs no update since August.
So i am afraid because its the second collector games that i bought and i can't to play it.
So XMisty, If it possible to help the community of users that have this issue.
We have nothing for to be heard by Ubisoft. Just Community manager on the forum.
Please communicate about that.
Thx. Webside.

Watch Dogs has had the same issue since May. Ubisoft support eventually said they are working on it, but I doubt it will get fixed. The moderators can't help you. This game is suffering from the same issues Watch Dogs had at release that never have been fixed.
Ubisoft Support respond as if they have no clue, conversating in circles. Out of the 3 AAA games they released this year, 2 have DDL problems.
2 channel stereo SUCKS and ruins the game..

Common hardware! Should work!
Reply from Ubi support:
They don't seem to be taking it seriously and believe consumers are at fault!?Firstly can you please confirm that your Dolby Digital 5.1 system is correctly configured on your computer. To do this please view the following:
- Right click sound icon in the system tray at the bottom right of the screen
- Click Playback devices
- From here choose your speaker set up and click configure
- Ensure this is set to show how your system is actually set up and try playing the game again and see if this problem continues
I fixed this with a workaround. I hooked up HDMI from GTX670 directly to home theater receiver and then hooked up receiver to TV.. Then disabled the sound device on-board motherboard and used sound device on video card.. I had to then set up speaker configuration for 7.1, and it goes to receiver as 7.1 channel MPCM, and then I get surround sound in the game.
If I switch inputs on receiver while game is running in background,m I lose all sound in game, while sound still works on PC though. So there must be some bug where the sound stops working if HDMI isn't connected which sounds a lot like DRM. Not sure what's going on there.
This is why I won't be buying Far Cry 4 or any other Ubisoft game, until this issue is fixed.Originally Posted by Sirbats Go to original post
I have had the same problem using an ASUS Maximus VI impact MB with realtek ALC1150 chip.
I only could get stero sound to work.
However, here is a fix for that:

This is not very straight forward. But it comes with the benefit of unlocking all Surround modes of the chip. And 5.1. works fine for me in FC4 since than (an no sound issues at all). I wish I could just run the GraphEdit application as task icon instead of an open task bar item.
Probably.Originally Posted by Sirbats Go to original post
