I have not been able to load this game as it crashes during the load of the first load screen every single time. I've tried pretty much everything to resolve it (New drivers, Removing usb devices, reinstalling the game, repairing the game).

    I have an i5 2500k with an AMD R9 290 GPU.

Same here, Win 8.1. Tried disabling all USB devices, then pretty much everything running in the background...still no dice. Pretty disgusted at this point.

First and last time I use uplay

I'm installing this on a completely fresh installation of windows so I was hoping this would mean I would have very few problems, how wrong was I? Missing dlls, corrupt files and now I can't even get past the splash screen and a few colourful dots.

Missing dlls were solved by downloading the correct file from Microsoft because the .Net installer in the FC4 installer doesn't download the correct files. The corrupt files were solved by verifying the game and redownloading 394 MB. I finally get the game to launch and boom it crashes almost instantly.

I tried restarting, double checked all windows updates had been applied, played around with numerous graphics card settings, disabled stuff and no joy. Thought I'd try verifying the files again, not expecting anything and now it says it needs to redownload 13,928 MB of corrupted files.

That's where I am now, waiting for half the game to redownload. How can it be such a rigmarole to install and play 1 game on a completely fresh OS?

    Hey All,

Thanks for looking into this. Just bumping to say I, too have this problem, i5 4 series, GTX 770. Tried same as above posters (reinstall, file verification, drivers, USB drivers removed, etc, etc). Thanks again, looking forward to playing this game soon!

So, I finally got the game to launch by downgrading my graphics drivers, but now it just crashes as soon as I try to start a campaign. It feels like every time I solve one problem there's another one around the corner.

Getting the same error here, unable to get past the loading screen when launching the SP campaign.

I verified my files in the uPlay client and it proceeded to download the day 1 patch (around 9.3 Gb). Game is now on version 1.3.0 ...great....launch game, same error

Verified game files again...and it proceeds to download the day 1 patch AGAIN. I assume it will still be on v1.3.0 after it finishes and the same error will occur

Am I just downloading corrupted files each time ?
