And here i thought i was the only one....... i tried prettymuch everything, checked game files 2 times (strangly had to download 9 gb to repair corrupted files), started a new game, I play through the prologue just fine, and when it starts to load chapter one (or however the thing after prologue is called) it just dies.
Really hope this gets patched soon, it annoys the hell out of me to be able to play the start without being able to play further

I have done exactly the same as you... checked files and it said needed repairing, downloaded patch again and still the problem occurs (3 times and I gave up).

I did the same over and over again, verified files loaded 9gb of files new, installed latest nvidia 344.75 driver, in the end nothing works. At least im not the only one having this issue.

Well, if there are more peolpe with this problem there should be someone working on a fix......for our issue there seems to be no easy way out like pulling all usb devices so we just have to wait..... so glad im not the only one with this problem ^^
Anyone of you opened a support ticket for our problem? i did, but with this much bugs and problems on launch, i believe it will be some time till somebody reads and works on it :/

During the installation phase, there could have been an issue while downloading some specific files. Please try performing a clean reinstall with no antivirus or firewall program running to see if it helps. Also, please help us investigate this by submitting your dxdiag and msinfo to the team so we may pass it along. You may also try here: http://ubi.li/fsrtz.

is there a installer i can use without loading the 30 GB? in Uplay it states that installers will get saved in a folder but that folder doesnt exist :/ Im not keen on redownloading for 5+ hours without my antivir.
by the way: is it possible that al we who share this issue have some hardware in commen? for example,is ist possible that we all have an AMD grafics card? i post my specs below, maybe we`ll find a solution this way.

    CPU Intel i5 4670 k
    GPU Sapphire Radeon 280x
    RAM 8 Gb Kingstion Blu
    OS Windows 8.1 64 bit

    i7 2700k
    gtx 980
    8gb ram

cant be a hardware issue sry, has to be some software side issue. i read about a guy who had exakt that problem at far cry 3 dont know what ubisoft did there.

If there was an issue with downloading some files during Installation, shouldnt the check files and repair function of uplay (which we all used) solved the issue? we loaded 9,xx Gb (I did it 2 times) and it didnt fix anything, why should it be any other way if we loaded the whole damn thing again? Im not dowloading it again until someone with a better connection does it and confirms it works that way.
