Free Cam shmee-cam, I'm not bothered by it at all. Experienced builders aren't interested in plagerising other people's creations as they are clever/creative enough to come up with their own stuff. As for the riff-raff who may want to do this, chances are they wont have the ability to do it adequately anyway. As far as ruining the immersion goes, I will hazard a guess that most players wont even touch this feature and the one's who want to make cool montages are welcome, so no biggie to me.
I didn't even know about this until yesterday when i saw the option of a diff replay camera. I guess it depends on the track and whether a video would be made with the run in it- but as for watching, entertaining through speedrunning, automatic camera is and always will be best. A+ for effort anyhoo but if you want to give something concrete back to your fans, bring out the slo-mo!
Really, I love this replay camera, what an awesome feature!! (Thanks Dev's!!)
BUT...today I noticed something which I really a pity and this is something that not really hasn't got to do with a "Rplay" but more with a extra functionality and this is creating pictures for Photoshop.
I noticed that there isn't the option to move the camera straight up & down or left and right, which means that zooming in and getting the perfect position to make a certain screenshot is a real hard task to do!
Next to this I would love to see that the text which is vissible (like when cam around in FMX) will be be removed as well as the information at the top right of the screen (in the brown/grey) field.
Nontheless, I fogrgive the Dev's for this, because this isn't something that belongs to the game (but I hoped it was possible..lol)
Greetsss,
Frances
I'm guessing Redlynx have changed something in Fusion compared to Evo as the Evo replays were also just a set of saved inputs I believe, but there were times replays would break. I'm guessing making sure replays don't break has it's downfalls, one being no rewind?Originally Posted by En0- Go to original post
Hum, there was no rewind on Evo neither I think, or did I miss it?Originally Posted by NSPIV Go to original post
The reason why replays don't break is because we spent months fixing the system for Fusion and it was a real pain. Anytime we add a feature, it breaks and keeping old replays working with new code is a pain too.
You can still find some replays breaking here and there, but much less than on Evo.
No I think you're right, there was no rewind in Evo, I was thinking of Forza xDOriginally Posted by En0- Go to original post
Yea the replays break A LOT less and when they do the system recognises it and pops up a message where as in Evo the rider would just crash and flail around everywhere. I guess the only downfall is that in Fusion from what I've seen if a replay is broken it will always be broken whereas in Evo there were ways to force a replay to work sometimes (some replays just would never work) e.g. waiting for 30 minutes to time the replay out and restart the replay, making sure to go straight from main menu into the replay and not going on other tracks etc. haven't seen any methods of temporarily fixing replays in Fusion, maybe no one has found one yet and as it doesn't happen too often people probably haven't been looking for one.
I've been able to get a couple broken replays to work in Fusion thanks to this free roam camara feature. They break often when that dirty roach bike is used and I've found at times pausing the replay and taking the camara further down the track to unpausing works sometimes. Staggering the replays helps other times by fast forwarding and tapping slowmotion has worked a few times as well. I really like the free roam camara and replays have been vastly improved from Evo. You got alot things better EnO- and I appreciate that about Fusion. I am curious about why that roach bike breaks so many replays though. Are the physics different, and is it just enouph that it plays different from the default roach?
I made a thread about this a couple months ago,but didnt get any response so it's probably not an issue that can be fixed.Originally Posted by RidingMower
