[Huge Spoilers] Far Cry 4 Secret Ending

The main antagonist, Pagan Min, early in the game asks you to sit for a few minutes and enjoy your meal, at this point he leaves and the player is given the opportunity to leave and start the campaign. However, if you do wait for him for 15 minutes, he comes back and treats you as a guest like he did before you find out that he is not a villain at all, and is actually a good guy who allows you to place your mother's ashes where she requested, next to her daughter's ashes. The daughter is also the child of Pagan Min.

    Soooo.... alternate storyline dlc?

You know... now I kinda don't want to play the main game, knowing that I'm joining up with real terrorists to fight against a guy who just want's you to like him.

So picture this: You go to shoot some guns like he said. A little hunting trip. That's always fun, right?

BAM! Terrorists attack the two of you and you fight them off. He then asks you to join him in wipeing out the *******s (the golden path) and you go on an alternate campaign where you fight the terrorists and free the land. Now that he has peace from them, he can finally make the country a more stable and generaly nicer place to live. Happy ending.

For once Ubi, just this once, I would be okay with some dlc if it was something like this. Pretty please?

OK so you would just believe some guy you are just meeting that he is speaking the truth?, a guy that is torturing people at dinner and is seriously screwed up in the head. That secret ending don't tell us anything more about WHAT IS the truth, just what a man wants you to believe.

On my second playthru of FC4 I let Pagan explain all about what happened to my father, mother, and who Lakshmana was, then I shot his helicopter down. At that point I'd also allowed Sabal and Amita to live (Amita first), but went back after Pagan's death and killed both of them as well. All in all I had no real sense of closure to the game, either the first time when I allowed Pagan to live or the second time either. It would've been nice if Ubisoft would've created a cutscene wherein after you've killed Pagan, Sabal and Amita, the Royal Army shows up and swears its allegiance to you, or something like that.

Anyhow, After reading the OP of this thread, I went back and started a new game for the third time and waited for Pagan to come back instead of running off. Sure enough, I got the cutscene where he takes me to Lakshmana's shrine, and I place Mom's urn next to Lakshmana's. Then I guess I get on the helicopter with Pagan to go 'shoot some guns', whatever that means. The game ends right there. I'm wondering if I should bother to go back and replay for a fourth time at this point. While I think FC4 is a GREAT game and has definitely kept me entertained, there were so many things I was dissatisfied with that I don't know if it's worth the time and effort to go back and replay it yet again. The next-to-useless armor and the constantly-attacking animals were two major frustrations for me (damned eagles!!!!!). I just didn't like the way the game kind of leaves you hanging after the other major characters are dead. Pagan's dead, yet you still have the Royal Army trying to kill you at ever turn. Didn't make sense. But then, that's just my humble opinion.

This all makes no sense to be able to access that cutscene at the start of the game and is rather pointless unless they go the extra mile, as is done in some games like certain Star Wars titles, and allow you to side with Min and play the dark side of the game fighting for the Royal Army instead of the Golden Path.

It would add a TON of replay value and variety.

You can only strive for perfection, but never really achieve it. The contradictions in FC 4 are everywhere. But....at least the devs allowed you the option of making choices and dealing with the consequences of your choices as Pagan notes at the end.
First off, Pagan at the end tells you Kyrat is yours (Ajays) and that he was going to give it to you, but....if thats true, why on earth would you have a bag over your head at the initial meeting at lunch with DePluer? Why would the Royal guard constantly try to kill you, and make a special effort everytime they see you to kill you? Why hasn't Pagan informed his people that he is appointing you his successor? No, instead, even after you've murdered your way to the top (Pagans words) and you've been given the kingdom, he still doesn't inform the Royal Guard or anyone else that you are to be treated as King. SO there is no way you could surmise from the events that you were Pagans choice to succeed him or learn about your mothers life and choices AT THE BEGINNING. And as stated, unless you had all the info and had a choice to play as either side, why would you spend $60 to NOT PLAY A GAME???

Still, you have the choice to correct the situation somewhat, in that you can allow Pagan his freedom, as at least he is leaving, while killing Sabal and Amita who both become tryants that are content with righteously abusing the people of Kyrat, either because it's God's will and Sabal is the personal representative of Kyra or because it is necessary for a strong economy to enslave the people if its Amita's Rule over Kyrat. So, you have the option and choice to kill both Sabal and Amita as they can be found afterwards.

Psychologically, I initially was upset that the Devs had more or less made a statement that nothing changes and the new power hungry leaders both seemed to produce a situation that was had more injustice than the predecessors system. That is like encouraging the attitude that life is crappy and nothing ever changes. And then I discovered the option to change it and was more content.
