Most of Ubi's games are made in Canada, and most of the games made in Canada are made more specifically by the studio in Montreal. They made FC2/3/4 and ALL the assassin's creed games, watch_dogs, and all the splinter cells up until Blacklist. Then they just give other studio's smaller components of those games to make (for example, Montreal made the majority of ACIII, but all the naval gameplay was made by a ubi studio in Singapore, and all the shangri-la missions in FC4 are made by the Toronto studio) I don't think FC4 is going to suffer the same issues (and I certainly hope not the same amount of them) as AC:Unity has been.Originally Posted by mjrou812 Go to original post
AC:U is the first game Ubi has released created exclusively for next gen, they're working with a (mostly) new engine and reworked alot of the core systems, to the game's detriment in some cases( I'm looking at you terrible melee combat!) In summation, I don't think FC4 will be quite so bug/ issue laden as AC:U was, because they're working within the same frame-work as FC3, same (slightly updated) engine, and alot of returning developers, so it should be a bit less of a disaster glitch-wise. Although, full disclosure, I haven't actually had many bugs/ glitches in what i've played of AC:U, i'm just not having much fun with it, I think I'm over Assassin's Creed now...
I will have to see it to believe, Farcry 4 engine is the same as Assassins Unity if it turns out as good as Black Flag did then id be happy? What I will do to be on the safe side is to wait a day or to and see what the reviews are over at amazon?Originally Posted by venkatbaggu Go to original post
"Farcry 4 engine is the same as Assassins Unity" - No, it's not.Originally Posted by mjrou812 Go to original post
Both share some technologies and feature set in general, obviously, since it's the same studio (therefore they can easily share subsystems and other things between engines.), you remember how they said Watch_Dogs was using a new engine? Nope, that was just FC3's Dunia 2 with some changes.Originally Posted by Rekalty Go to original post
Exactly. Like I said, it's not the same engine. Lots of games/engines share features.Originally Posted by Ironwoods56 Go to original post
