will we ever get a replay option in the editor...?

    replay option in the editor

Just wondering about this, i understand that there are probably more important stuff that comes first,
but if RL could answer if this is something considered?

    Hello,

Replay option in the editor meaning that we could see how a track is built and replay how it has been built?

    Regards,

Hi En0 thanks for taking the time.. No i dont mean like that...
When testing a track in the editor, from cp1 to finish, i often think it would be a valuable feature to sit back and watch the run,
mainly to pick up on stuff in the background and to get a more relaxed view of the flow, details, etc...

    thnx

Ok here is a better reason, you can pan around freely on ANY track you desire and take screenshots that can be created by yourself, y'know. It brings more flexibility to being creative with making nice screenshots and is shared with everybody. I think being able to see what type of screenshots people come up with is interesting and isn't a set back but a way forward to people doing more things on this game. I can't understand with you why you feel so negative about this. We all know that yes, that means you can pan around the whole track and investigate, but what is such the big deal about that? Do you want to be secretive in what you make? You haven't explained why you think it's a bad thing either... all I've seen is a few sarcastic reply's on here and on the twitch chat. Thought trials and the community was about helping others to get better at building and sharing. The in game tracks get the same treatment as always too you can investigate and learn a bit more on how we have done things here too, If people want to look at the (hiding the mess) areas then let them! I mean c'mon, do you believe there is a super amount of detail behind Inferno 4... no This is the way tracks have always been built, that's nothing new, Most people know this. Being able to pan around more gives more freedom on easter eggs now. Somebody could look at the foreground and there's a secret area, it brings more freedom to create hidden areas. People will use this feature as a way to help get better at building and understanding how the best builders make their tracks (you!) Let them see.

This feature is a plus! it's new to trials, brings more freedom and makes it a heck of a lot more fun watching replays because you are not stuck with just the default camera. This is no way a negative, it's a positive and from most of the feedback I've seen, many others see it that way too. This is a cool feature! What you can actually do with this feature is very diverse, you can do A LOT with it. - creativeness + 1

Also to comment on some of the things I remember mentioned in twitch chat, It does not spoil the illusion of what the person has made because when you play the track ie, play the game, it is exactly shown how the builder wants it to be seen. The freedom to play around with just looking at what people have done is only in replays. It does not ruin any illusion of what the person has created gameplay-wise.

my first reason is what's the point so far into this games life cycle. do we need a camera to pan round .. ? for what point im really not sure . and being awesome aint one im sorry , ill tell you me personally always loved the illusion of building tracks . be it underwater or in space adding this camera just cheapens that experience . you get or used to get people pulling you up on your creations . this just opens a big can of worms . i dont create my tracks for people to rip them to pieces . im creating an illusion and i like it that way . get a a film and see how it was made then watch it , and i really dont see how this can help new creators. go look at a great track look at it copy it , rip it to pieces .laugh at it . maybe thats why im negative and sarcastic about it .theres plenty of help on here and via friends to get better ,. hell ive asked you in the past . just looking at something doesnt mean you can do it .communication does .like it did for every decent builder . and lets be honest here if you didnt work for redlynx im sure ud have a different opinion .so stop pressing your opinion on me . your wasting text

Hi bud , not sure if your on ps4 but you can test your track and record it with the share button and then replay it. Ok its more done with the console your on and not the actual game but still same thing. If your on a different platform doesnt the xbox have this feature ?. It is good to be able to watch replays as you miss things when riding the track.

Being here or being at home wouldn't make a difference but some of the advice I have given you in the past would have varied, I might not have brought some things up because I didn't really think about it until being here, not to say anything different is crucial and neither something that had to be listened to, just tips and advice. The point in this feature is bringing flexibility in to the game and adding extra ways to be creative, with this you can. It doesn't open a can of worms if you let people in and understand how top builders build, you shouldn't feel like this is going to make people start ripping your tracks apart. Tracks have been made on trials the same way they have forever, if someone doesn't understand that if you flip a camera 180 degrees in a replay and ask what is this!? then it's something pretty easy to jump in on and explain to them but I find this scenario very unrealistic. On a personnel note here, I've seen many creators in the past worry about people copying their tracks way back on HD, but I've yet to see anything substantially obvious, but this mode brings nothing new to copying other peoples tracks than a youtube vid. There is plenty of help on here but if there is more ways for help then it's very much a go and this will help people. There will be a lot of good creators out there that don't come on these forums that benifit, also as said before this is a new feature that brings more flexibility and it's not something I can see been a negative to a lot of people. Hope I can consider you to look at it in a lighter way mate

This is something that you guys haven't had the hands on approach with yet but when you check it out, you will see that you can have a lot of fun with it I'm sure Making awesome tracks. Now making awesome screenshots on awesome tracks. It's going to be nice to see what you come up with
