FC2 had a great map editor and system to play online with other people as it used a server browser style... but, the gameplay sucked. online was just bad.
FC3 had the same editor, but sadly they removed the server browser style in favor of randomly putting you in a random map. it was stupid so no one used it. but the gameplay was awesome! if it had the same system as FC2 it would have been amazing
FC4 it looks like they removed the ability to make a map and play it online completely. stupid.
I am not buying the game now. way to ruin the game. if I for some reason get it, it will be used, I refuse to give ubisoft my money.

If they could have the game modes from FCIP, server browser/lobbies from FC2, gameplay from FC3/FC4, and the Editor from FC4 they would have a perfect game.
But instead they build another MP suite that is asymentrical (why?), 5v5 (why?), only 3 modes (why?) and no options to build maps for it.
Makes no ****ing sense.
what are you made of ? money, thats the only correct awnser according to ubisoft.
I thought the middle finger given to the mapping community with FC3 was an incident coz it was massive's first fps and they didnt know what they were doing but i was wrong. Here is the other middle finger to the mapping community.
just want to let you know im very dissapointed but who cares, right ubisoft? another sale lost but who cares. still a horde of consumer zombies on the loose, moaning SP.
i see some of you are planning a revolution, good luck with that. but im not gonna waste more words here on this forum, they will be ignored anyways. my advise is, that you do the same coz ubisoft is only catering to the mindless consumers who are looking for a next quick high.
see ya around
FANS OF FAR CRY FRANCHISE:YOU WONT KNOW ANYTHING TIL THE GAME ARRIVES,this could just be like what they have done with trials fusion, there has always been a multiplayer, people just need to calm down, omg, you have to think why would they invite a map editor(knowing that he loves mp map making )and not deliver eventually,it might not happen when game is released right away but of course if you buy the game and it never arrives to make multiplayer maps then you know not to buy anymore games they make SIMPLE AS THAT PEOPLE,but until you find that out ,ITS ALL JUST SPECULATION FOR NOW SOOOOO RELAXOriginally Posted by DapperHayden007 Go to original post
Im not a massive mapper but I enjoyed the MP and community creations, This is crazy. I will enjoy the single player Im sure, but to everyone who is a massive MP fan and Mapper I feel really sorry for you. I also feel REALLY let down that these features arnt in, the MP people wanted with the ability to make maps. From my time here it really seems like Ubi does not care about its community and only cares about the wider audience and not those who have stuck by them, People have been SCREAMING on the forums for info and you just dont say anything you just tell us you cant say anything at this time, No you dont want to say anything because you knwo the backlash you will get. Im dissapointed Ubisoft I really am. You've pissed of a lot of fans.
You know what I think it's the reason for that?Well because all of the games were always more of a dissapointment than a succes.Far Cry was a good game but it was more linear game.It was fun but nothing to do there after7 or 8 hours of gameplay. So with Far Cry 2 they tried something new. They tried to make a realistic shooter set in a big map that was Africa. The story was fine but the open world was so boring. It was empty and going through Africa was a pain in the *** instead of it being fun.The game wasn't received well and Far Cry needed a change.Again Far Cry 3 was a totally new game.It had even bigger map that was awesome and the open world was a lot of fun.The game was all about crazy characters such as Vaas,Buck,Willis,Citra etc.Although the story wasn't really anything special but overall the game was fantastic and finally a Far Cry game that everybody loved.Ubisoft finally nailed it and why change it?Everything good that FC3 did,Far Cry 4 will do even better and hopefully improve everything FC3 did bad.For me this is the reason why all Far Cry games were so different from each other expect for Far Cry 4.Originally Posted by NightGhost1994 Go to original post
So many forget that Far Cry 2 had issues in SP (on consoles anyhow- mostly the PS3) and MP was not a great game, the hosting options and lobby system kept it going plus CTF / TDM and Solo DM are always popular and a must have mode expected in every far cry game but it was slow paced and the blurred vision, clunky controls and pop ups in the middle of the screen did not help - net code was not the best and the MP system with ranked where players stacked on one side plus the kick feature abuse ruined it - FC2 MP worked for map makers though but we are small in numbers.Originally Posted by US Revenge Go to original post
Also you are correct Far Cry 3 could have been a lot of fun if it had the same hosting system and options as FC2 but IMO Far Cry 3's MP modes were also quite dull in the way they pushed the gameplay, the BattleCries worked in COOP but not in MP, The spawns were dreadful and the Team Support Strikes sucked.
The MP modes them-self could have played better with minor changes - Only TDM did what it said on the tin but could have been better if you could set the number of kills instead of playing to the timer.
Nice post US Revenge - As for me I like the SP Game enough to purchase it and will also like the SP Mission Maps, am willing to give the MP a go but we should be allowed to make our own MP maps and play them the way we want.
