Thanks Redlynx
for an awesome awesome game!
I never had an xbox and came to Trials just with Fusion on PS4.
I think this is a blast of a game and I dont understand the hate towards Fusion. Ive bought Evo Gold on Steam after i got hooked with Trials and I have to say, to me, Fusion is the overall better game.
The career tracks in Fusion are better, the Sound is way better, and the artstyle is better. Didnt like the gritty look of evo that much.
Also i dont understand the hate towards the pit Viper. Sure ist heavier then the phoenix, but otherwise its solid.
Changing it now would render all tracks obsolete becasue they would be easier with a lighter bike.
Also awesome how commited you guys are to your game. I mean, developer streams, weekly? How many Studios do that? Thats just awesome.
Also the small but, extremly dedicated hardcore community is awesome. I find myself watching a twitch stream almost everyday and it doesnt get old.
Ive been playing a braod variety of games since 25 years and seldom was i hooked to a game that much. So much even, Ive bought an xbox one only for Fusion.
Despite all the triple A games, hyped Releases and all, Fusion is without a shadow of doubt my game of the year! Rad stuff, redlynx! all of you!
two Little things:
- fix the tire glitch
- and what ive been wondering: the gas has only 7 steps of power. Are you guys considering a more granular Approach for the (hopefully coming) next Trials game?
just wanted to get this off my chest seeing the cesspool this Forum sometimes becomes with all that salty tears.
I second his comment above
I think that this is the case in almost evrything , things always have to live up to the xpectation of the previous and were some can change and move on some cant adjust to another format nevermind if they like it or not. Sometimes people find it hard to burst out of the " what they are use too bubble" think its similar to the phrases like murphys law and so forth lol some kust dont know what i means. Some just cant understand the concept of difference and change with it. I imagine that also the previous games was a big bench mark for fusion and had a lot to stand up to. Now where people feel that it hasn't i would think of more of it has it has but in a different way and taking on the next generation consoles. If they stick with what they had to suit an audience that they had it would be overwhelmed by consumers with higher expectations hence it coming to ps4 :P
Its forum like these that are also changing and this is going to have a massive impact on the future of gaming and the " whats cool ". People today aren't just settling for just multiplayer they want more interaction with the next gen. Next gen consoles brings next gen gaming. People have been doing it for ages but on a little scale and i think this is only the beginnning of the future with games being played not just in game but also games being played through all its media sources. Online interactions is a game in its self , master that and they will rocket their consumers.
i think anyway..
well done guys i agree with the dude , its a fantastic game for your buck.
I'm really not trying to bring this thread down, and sorry for the negativity in my reply, but there are genuine reasons why most people prefer Evo to Fusion. Here are my reasons.
RL promised that FMX wouldn't affect the core trials experience of trying to get the fastest time on track. That obviously didn't happen, and now the leaderboards are broken forever as thousands of people exploited the FMX system to get faster times.
No tournaments on release, and when they did arrive, they are not as good as the old format. People don't want to spend hours getting a great time because the tournament disappears after a while, and they don't count toward your leaderboard score.
No online multiplayer at launch. It's coming before the end of the year, but you can't race on single player tracks.
Track central was broken as launch. It is better now though.
Extremely limited customisation for bike and rider, but mostly for the bikes.
Funktastic, as you can see, pretty much all of these things have nothing to do with people not wanting to accept change. There are genuine reasons why people prefer Evo to Fusion, and that list is just a few of mine. To say something like people are afraid of change is extremely short sighted.
However, having said all of the above, I still absolutely love Fusion, and I don't think I've ever played another game that gives better value for money than Evo or Fusion does!
Good points dude , and not taken negatively and of course there is lots of bad points about the game agree with all you said.
As for the change opinion its not short sighted dude , thats life its apart of everything. I am like it in certain ways , we do it without knowing. we continue to watch silly things even though its rubbish because we are use to it , we go in the same pubs over and over even though they become boring becase we are use to it. Its not shot sighted its human dude. If there is a game film that made its mark on you nothing is going to compete with that and everything is going to be second best. Example... there must be a film you liked and didnt really like the sequel or the 3rd.
once you think you had the best its hard to change whats set in stone and some peole cant look at things sepeartely , just human nature dude.![]()
And from me as well !Originally Posted by Steiner84 Go to original post
I bought Fusion to be honnest by accident and My God...never been pleased with an accident before in my life.
I was walking in the store because I wanted to have a look at the PS4 because the X1 wasn't available here at the time.
I had choices for different games but the games that were available were FPS which I never play or games that I already had played and then my eye caught the presentation of Fusion which was running on the screen.
I tried it and thought; "Hmmm, this could be fun if I want to play something else inbetween" when I don't feel for solving puzzles in RPG's.
Well...that "In between" has been swapped for 70% of the time that I'm gaming.
There's only one reason for me to lay it down and swap it for another game (playing Batman atm) and that is that you really need to be focussed and awake to get somewhere and with an RPG this isn't really necessary.
About Twitch: I love it! learned so much from it as well and I cannot wait to start watching again, love to see the guys do things that I might be able to do in the future
About Evolution: Great game, I bought it almost immediately after I discovered Fusion, however I prefer Fusion and this is mostly due the layout (colours) and..this is something that I discovered just a few weeks ago....also due the background music which is more towards the Rock/Metal genre which makes me feel more..uhmm...uncomfortable (exeption, Gigatrack and other tracks)
About Multiplayer: Cannot make any comment on this because I never played Multiplayer except for a few single races against other riders.
Overal I think there's only one real question to ask which tells if a game is good and this is th question "Would I buy the next release of a Trials game?"
The answer to that question is; Definately Yes!! (and fast also)
Lol, very true.Originally Posted by funktastic- Go to original post
I do agreed with your post. I think saying it was sighted was a mistake... I was just trying to say that I preferred Evo over Fusion for valid reasons, rather than I don't like fusion as much because it's different. But again, I completely see your point.
No worries bud you have valid reasons so do many. Not everything can be said in one post i tried that and i loose the plot and end up with an explosion for what some would say an essay on the screen or wall of text so Tried to keep what i say to a minimum as i canso things get left out or un explained.
Right off to hide in the editor , the misses is wants me for something
1. The FMX exploit is only seen in a small number of tracks -- and I don't think it's such a big deal even if they left it.Originally Posted by S-Wallis Go to original post
2. I prefer the new tournament format -- I enjoy finishing first.
3. Just pretend it didn't have multiplayer written on the box.
4. The bike wheels are way more cool, so is the gear.
I agree with Funktastic: people are very resistant to change. It is a human quality that affects everyone, but some people are just stubborn :P
It wasn't called Evolution 2 for a reason. That reason is called AMBITION.
