far cry 4 PC weapon model fov

I really hope they zoom out the weapons when you change your fov, though they gave us the option to change our fov on far cry 3 the weapon models do not scale with the fov you set, they remain the same size some like the snipers and rpg cover about 30% of the screen, it makes the guns feel like they are right on your face which makes people like me dizzy, this is also very common on new games like borderlands or call of duty they do not scale the guns with the fov you choose.

This is what I mean by weapon model fov top is a modded version of far cry 3 bottom is the default both images have the fov set to 80 in the game settings.

Because it's a console port (bad term, more like... Designed for consoles, and PC doesn't get much more) with close to no additional functionality whatsoever on PC.

A lot of first person shooter games have large first person weapon view, i'm not sure if this was to cater for big TV's in large living rooms and being sat at a fair distance from the TV set?.

LOL your modded fov is lower than the default! It seems the only thing the modded fov did was push the weapon model further away from you.

In the top image I was probably just a couple feet ahead compared to the lower one, but pushing the weapon model further away is pretty much the thing I want the devs to include when you do change the fov.

The rpg is the best example of this it covers I'd say 45% of the screen.
    as seen in this image

I agree that the RPG takes up a lot of screen space. But isn't that kind of the trade-off for having such a powerful weapon?

thoses nowdays fps with weapons mashed on your face are really annoying...
I dont get how thoses devs dont notice how it look terribad... or maybe they just have ****ty taste and eyes malfunctioning... <.<

Well they didn't fix shrimp actually I think it is bigger than on fc3, I can't use this gun for long makes me feel dizzy after a while, though at least they did try to set it apart from the fc3 one by adding that sling looks pretty good, also the fov slider sucks it has no indication of what fov you have set it's like adjusting the volume setting.
