For me, the map editor was probably 50 % of Far Cry 3. I really enjoyed creating my own worlds with high definition and detail. Being able to create customs maps allow the multiplayer (and sometimes the singleplayer) to be much more enjoyable and worthwhile.
I havnt seen any news or information about if Far Cry 4 will have a map editor, and wonder if anyone knows anything about this? Also, if there will be an editor, will it be the same thing as the previous ones, with just new objects, or will it be more in depth, and will it be avaliable for consoles aswell as for PC?

They're saying that there is one. We just don't know much of anything about it, and Ubisoft refuses to give us any information. Even worse is they paid to have 3 community members from the forum here, fly out to play around with it, but then gagged them. So they aren't allowed to talk about it until Ubisoft is good and ready. We don't even know if sharing is functional, if you can even make MULTIPLAYER maps at all, or any other details aside from "You can make stuff, and it's easy, and you can place animals." (The gist)
Ubi has now gone strangely dark, wont answer ANY questions, and now they've gone as far as pulling all their future releases from Steam for God knows what. Lots of strange happenings right now. I have opted to not preorder the game based on this silence, and I'm SURELY not buying on PC.
Yeah, I feel the same for Ubisoft games nowadays. I usually preorder a lot of them because I like their franchises and I expect a certain quality on the product, but I no longer preorder their games (if I havnt tried the beta and enjoyed it). This time ill wait till they are released to see how the game actually is.Originally Posted by legacyzero Go to original post
Not sure where you have been if you say you have not seen any news or information about if Far Cry 4 will have a map editor. Probably just f**king lazy!Originally Posted by Easterlily Go to original post
