has the game gotten really sluggish for anyone else on IOS over the last few updates? | Forums

I play on an old iphone4 and am trying to figure out if my phone is just old and crappy or the game is getting really bloated. Since the datacube update my game periodically, ie almost everytime i play, gets so choppy i have to restart it if it doesnt just crash itself. Loading between screens takes forever too. It really seems like it has something to do with its calling home procedures because if there is no internet connection the load times go away.

I use an Ipad3 (getting fairly old now) and gameplay has been sluggish on occasion lately too. I was getting sluggish behavior when running one track, and it CONTINUED to be sluggish as I reran it over and over trying to beat my time... after enough reruns it seemed to go away, and I never left the track.

Both work tolerably, except when I play A LOT, the screen gets wet and dirty because of the contact with my fingers and the controls stop responding. (your symptoms, sriskus)
I have to wipe off both my fingers and my screen with a peace of soft cloth before continuing to play.
There are particular ANBA/slot machine challenges my fingers sweat a lot more on. On the hardest ones I had to wipe the screen 3 times in one level.

Most of the time players don't experience such problems, because fuel runs off so fast, the screen doesn't get dirty enough.
When the particular hard levels come, the effect gets tangible.

a bit off-topic, but still related to sluggish issue. I play on android, with an samsung galaxy S4 mini, black edition (GT-I9195)

I have always feel some wierd lag or slowness / sometimes just slow respond from controls. This issue is with swamp tracks and now also with halloween tracks.

I've also noticed this.. ensuring your hands aren't greasy is key.. and keep your screen cleaned often.

Arrgh! I was playing a lagging track, racing against my top "friend" ghost for 30 minutes.... and it crashed while I was barely ahead just as I crossed the finish line. No record. I was so pissed I kept at it for another 15 minutes, and beat the guy by .34 (take THAT, Frontier!). Sometimes I feel like I am playing two opponents; one I want to beat, and one who just decides to pull the plug every once in a while for the fun of it....
