How the leaderboard works?
Hi,
I'm trying to understand how the leaderboard is working.
I noticed that if you get a new medal on a track, then you rank becomes higher. But sometimes, if you improved your time on one track (without getting a new higher medal), then nothing is happening.
Any idea?
Thanks.

You may need to be more detailed in your question, but I will give it a try.....
For the track leaderboard....
First affect in determining rank is the number of faults you made. Within that, your finish time will determine your rank. Getting a better personal time doesnt necessarily improve your rank unless you have beaten the fault+time of the person ranked in front of you. Making medals doesnt improve or affect your LB rank at all; its all about your faults+time.
Note that sometimes you may find that you improved your local time on a track, but the track leaderboad doesnt reflect that time right away. Thats because the track leaderboards are stored on an RL server, and your app must communicate your score there to be put in the "official" list. A simple example of this is when you improve your score when not connected to the internet; that server update aspect will be delayed (how long is not really known but they say it will happen eventually). There have been reported cases of people who improved their score locally but the server doesnt reflect it.....if that continues to happen, its a bug.
More on medals... what medal you have made and your local track times is information saved in your personal profile (stored locally on your device and also synced to yet another location on the RL servers.... thats why you can download it all later via uplay). But thats not directly related to each tracks leaderboard.
