    Making an extreme track

Hi guys was hoping for some help on this one

I am making a new track and am thinking on making it an extreme one i have done hard most of the time and a few easy and medium so o thought i would sample some extremes. I was under the impression that extremes were totaly to hard for my drivline wise as im not a very skilled player at the moment and didnt think i should be making them if i cant even ride them very good but as of late i have played a few that have come across from other platforms and ones on ps4 also and found that some have been passabe for me without to many faults and have understood some of the drivline obsticles.

My problem is that i am forever changing my dirvline because one minute i think its too extreme but then i think its its too easy to be extreme. So is there any form of demands so to speak the an extreme drivline asks for. Like can you still have an extreme speedrun so to speak or are most a technical drivline. Also is the flow built on a different scale because i have found that braking and slowness is vast within these tracks so is that the normal way to build them.

I know i proberbly not build an extreme track but the track central within ps4 is leading towards that as all are becoming on them lines which i suppose ya have to go with the flow at times. Also i have found that some extreme tracks can be very enjoyable even the the not so skilled player like my self. Just building them is a different matter.

I would much appreciate some help with this , most of my tracks are experiments for now and not one have been one i would class as a done article of final entry so to speak rather just playgrounds to leanr so why shouldn't the extreme be different.

Anyway hope someone can help , if anyone wants to that is i would be very appreciated

    hi
i would advise you to definitely keep it in your skill level, my first extremes were so hard that nobody could (or wanted to) zero fault it, even not me lol, and for the medal times i had to try to pass each obstacle alone and then just added the times on a piece of paper, and on one track i'm pretty sure platinum was not possible. when i'm building extremes i try to make each obstacle so that i can pass it several times in a row and when i get to the second i try to run from the beginning and so on. if i realize that i fail most of the times at one obstacle i make it a bit easier so i can run the whole track until there without faulting (more than only one time of course) an this way i continue to build. always make shire you can 0fault it from the beginning so you can set up beatable medaltimes in the end and try to have a constant flow over the whole track. i hope this post makes sense ; ) btw i watched some of your vids you create great themes and decor, can't say much about the DL without running it but at some parts it looked like the flow was a bit interrupted... don't know exactly where anymore and it's like i said hard to say whiteout actually playing it but you should be able to figure out what i mean. but basically you should build tracks how you like em, if you love what you're doing you will for shure improve even more ; ) hope i could help a bit

Thank you very much for your help i understand you completely , i have decided against it has it happens and im going to keep it just hard but try and make it more technical. Thanks for looking at my videos i a aprreciate the advice and yes i have tried to stop putting sudden obsticles that stop the flow and make them more of a faster run. Just i was thinking with messing with the extreme but i agree i dont think i should until i can actually pass them in a clear run myself. Thought that in the back of my mind anyway , and cheers for what you said about my tracks i do enjoy making them its pretty awsome to experiment and build something from scratch and then see the out come. Hopefully i am beginning to get the driveline somewhat better its still has a long way to go but hopefully better than my first few tracks a few months back..

i think i have acutal had the chance to play some of yours because i remember your name, will hve another look and get some tips for your tracks if you dont mind

    cheers dude

Just realized perspone was your , not played that one yet been on the forum all day look top bananas though

ya don't beat me i'm one of those that got already picked a few times but maybe you shouldn't take my DLs as a model for a good one, they're quite weird and a bit besides what most people consider a good DL, decoration is what i'm quite good at, struggling to get a good DL myself but somehow people still seem to like what i do

lol i dont mean it in a bad way though dude and was very pleased you still choose to give me some advice what i try to say never come across in the right manner end of the day if its a quality track then it deserves to be picked. It stems back to the featured and me saying they missed a chance to help new builders. Your track is cool dude , i like tracks much better that dont follow the rules so to speak and stick to whats classed as the done thing. More indviduality in tracks like your , some seem to samey even though they are still quality.

nice tracks though dude and although i have opinions on the picks thats all they are and not always right more often they are proberbly not but still they are only to try and make tc better place to play.

I tend to find when i try the smooth speedrun type track they end up alittle too smooth and flowy and become either too easy or abit boring , and yeah your decor is wicked i do think thats also a big part of building a track. I know dl is important but still got to have a great decor , actually moaned about that too the other week with one of the picks..lol

aain thanx for your help bud , shows that not all people take evrything they read too serious or too heart
