You can have different rating systems, or there can be room to put a 10 seconds trailer video and 5 screenshots or so from the map, or the number of downloads can be shown and the date of publishing. If a map is not that good then it will not have that many downloads over a certain time period and the date/time published can also tell you if it is a new map or it has been around for a while and is, or is not so popular. In other words, there are different rating systems to help you decide.Originally Posted by FALLEN CHAMP Go to original post
But the decision should always be yours. If you only listen to what others tell you in life, you probably won't do well and you can only blame yourself. If you are told a map is good and it is not, then you should not be upset with the person who created the map, but with the person who told you the map is good. (Who can be the same person) And if you only judge on something that others tell you, then you can only blame yourself for not drawing your own conclusion if something is good enough for your liking.

This video was added to the thread, cause we feel it's very relevant!
"FarCry4's gone gold"
It's like a regression over the years. Ubisoft soldiers on and continues to stick to their agenda, at whatever cost.
They've seemed to show interest in our posts and communications, when in fact they couldn't care less about what we say.
I think it now glares you right in the face, and I hope everyone finally gets it!
I've also been around for what seems like ages, and FCIP remains the best MP experience I've ever had, also gaining many friends in the process.
That memorable experience from FCIP has eroded year after year, to where we are at this point.
FC4 was apparently supposed to be the redemption for (ugh)FC3...wrong.
You can't tell me they couldn't have created a 'Classic Mode' in the menus, alongside the new modes they wish to have.
5vs5? Really?
They likely could have used the basic framework of the FC2 MP structure, and updated it for FC4.
Maybe their team is incapable of doing this sort of thing...I don't know.
Champ, I miss talking to you in matches...we used to have a riotI know you're not getting paid for nothin'...lol
Seeing Toast and Anemeros here is great as well! It's been a while, guys. We should game soon.
Sick, we've become good friends in real life, and we still game frequently. See you in GTAV (Xbox1)
If we somehow pulled it off, I'd love to do a FCIP MP session with everyone. We just gotta do it one day...Champ, we'll ship you an Xbox 360.
Everyone's welcome!
The gameplay in the video looks boring to be honest. Nothing more than running around like crazy, shooting around like crazy. Nothing like stealth or tactical approach it. Just plain shooting at anything that moves. You guys might enjoy that, to me it looks very boring. But I guess that is how most MP shooter games have ended up. No group tactics or making a plan to conquer whatever needs to be conquered together. Just plain everybody running around like crazy. Maybe people at Ubisoft got bored creating such gameplay as well. Been there, done that.
The main reason I brought up FCIP in this case was to show how far we've regressed over the last 9 years when we should be leaps and bounds ahead of where we were. In 2005 FCI launched on the original Xbox console, and had a multitude of hosting options along with the best in game editor seen on a console to date. As dated as the graphics, physics, aiming, and gameplay is, it's STILL THE BEST Far Cry game we have seen as far as MP is concerned! We could make maps and share them in customizable lobbies and we had 4 standard modes to play. When FC Evolutions launched a few months later, we got emplacement cannons, ziplines, a new brush and template set and another game mode. That makes 5! And here we are almost a decade later and we get only 3 modes! That in itself is unforgivable UBISOFT! With 9 years of forum posts and wishlists asking for more stuff for the editor and more freedom for our creative urges and the ability to play and share our creations the way we want to, FC4 should be called Far Cry Utopia where all our 9 years of wishes have come true. But instead we take another nasty step backwards and are dealt a bad hand at UBI's sick poker game. But they might figure it out when the servers are empty and the multiplayer is dead after 2 months.
I say leave the competitive multiplayer to the pros, COD and Battlefield have it locked down! No one is going to outsell or compete with what they have. And that's perfectly fine! What always set FC aside was the one thing it had that NO other competitive FPS did, THE EDITOR. We as a community didn't ask for asymmetrical or any kind of ranked or objective based mp. We asked for our old custom lobbies and to make and play maps our own way like we did so many years ago. Sad thing is, even the big dog Call of Duty has a very deep and customizable UNRANKED private match mode for friends to group up and play for fun! And it has a TON of hosting options so people can play the game THEIR WAY. And here we get the most rich customization tool of all in the editor and we can't even play our maps in simple Deathmatch or CTF modes? Makes me sick to think this is what 9 years of begging and loyalty to this franchise has gotten us.
SICK
Playstation gamers feel exactly same about Far Cry 2 6 year game we still play as of 3 days ago lol because the server has been down or SHUT DOWN!!!! anyways Far Cry 2 is our FCIP. Problem is UBISOFT has failed to create A game that BOTH can enjoy ,and share good times ..Originally Posted by mambonuts60 Go to original post
