Personally i believe that the MP video was just a teaser to show off the new and "originality" of the P2P. If you browse generic game forums you will find that many people are rather excited by what they have seen,,and they are probably gaining some new fans. With that being said, Ubi has chosen not to show us the old and unoriginal..that being the basic or alternate MP of FC4..
Not including a basic TDM 8 vs8 with Map editor capabilities just seems absurd to me. They will lose many loyal fans. Are they that stupid?? Let's hope not..I have a little optimism left in me.
They have 2 more weeks before release. It's crunch time UBISOFT! !Give us we want
Where is the fun in an escape map when you can't watch your friends miss a jump and start over. RIP FC MP.. And possibly the IGE.
SP maps could be great.. WITH: Event triggers. Cutscene creator. Character creator. Sound sample library. Motion capture with kinect (like in project spark). Okay, now I am getting greedy.
I know there are some great map makers that can actually make works of art with the IGE.. I just wonder if that core map making community will even be around with all this BS going down.
Not possibly. If the MP is dead, so's the IGE. One can't live without the other IMO.Originally Posted by anonamix Go to original post

This really worries me...
The past 2 years I've learned that, with Ubisoft, no answers or no informations means bad news.
Also known as :
"You're not getting what you want, we've done s*** or nothing, and we're too ashamed of it to let you know...
Oh and also, f*** you.
-Love, Ubisoft.
PS : Buy our game."
Future will tell me if I'm wrong or not. I only wish to be wrong.
But until then, it doesn't smell good...
I am trying to be cautiously optimistic about FarCry4, but am not understanding the reason for deliberately withholding the information that we want the most. I understand that if you want info on the editor than you can get it by purchasing PC Gamer magazine. This must have been a very lucrative deal for Ubi, If they only allow PC Gamer the rights to pre-release info, then they can sell those rights for $$$$. After the MEGA slap in the face with FarCry3, fans are not appreciating being strung along with empty promises of receiving what they want. I honestly don't see Ubi trying to appease consumer mistrust with thier product. 4.5 million people purchased FarCry3, How many will return for FarCry4?
I will say this however, I have been a hardcore FarCry fan for many years, and my son has been a fan for most of his life. Before I would allow him to play FPS games due to his age, I would allow him to create on the editor, and he fell in love with it. If the next editor does not have the ability to create at least 8 vs 8 MP matches, then I am out and will delete my account. Don't treat us like suckers!
Been lurking here for a few weeks knowing that as soon as the Multiplayer gameplay content would be shown to the public I would find it fastest from someone posting it on here.
Anyway, pretty upset with the fact its only 5v5, the potential of the so called "new and improved map editor" is completely ruined if we can't actually play maps and then participate in multiplayer, the simple idea of "play a multiplayer FPS with a new/exiciting/fresh map every time" was such a hyped concept with me (as long as they would get the behind the scenes stuf working properly, like server browser and a decent map RATING system as well of dedicated servers of course) and is only really found in the Far Cry series, heavily disappointment with the content/lack of so far![]()
That's what they said with FC3- and well... What happened? We only got a single new tool (terrain holes) and tons of new restrictions- oh yes and crashes.Originally Posted by AlexoEx0 Go to original post
The terrain is still 512x512 meters (or well, for whatever reason, the heightmap is 513x513). Do they think the wingsuit will be of any use in that?
Waterfall and water layers. This was new too.Originally Posted by razorfinnish Go to original post
Height is 513? We could only use the lower half of it. Any spawn point placed higher than half the height would make you spawn under the map and fall to.. whatever is under. And that's not Narnia.
Plus the texture were stretching a lot past that point. So.. only 206 meters really.
