This will save me a lot of money !! No Far Cry 4 and no Xbox One for me.
I always preferred objective base modes if they were fun to play but for a quick session I could get away with solo DM Mode, I am also very surprised that TDM is not included even though I try my best not to play that mode it was the only mode in FC3 which had any numbers and was the most popular in FC2 and the FC Instincts Series of games.Originally Posted by HorTyS Go to original post
5v5 I can live with but I find it very off that only one team can use the vehicles and the other the elephants - This would be great in a few MP Modes but if every mode is like this which it seems then I can see this taking away some of the fun.
Can we make our own PVP Maps using the in game editor ? (The video interview with Alex Hutchinson below says yes)
At 1:38 to 1:41The question is "so we can make multiplayer maps and solo missions" and the answer is YES
Could it be that we get our own free play type mode for user made maps or a different set up altogether from the maps that ship with the game ?
We need some more information on how user made maps work in multiplayer and if we can play under a different set of rules.
At one point in the video Alex says this is by far the best MP they've made for Far Cry yet. Considering the goal with FC MP has always been to make it worse than the previous game I have to agree with him completely. I'd even say they've gone above and beyond making FC4 MP perhaps the worst MP ever in a FPS.
I don't necessarily mind these modes...if there were other game modes to choose from as well. When you have games like Halo, COD, GTA5, Titanfall, Destiny, etc to compete with, you need to make sure that you offer a wide variety of PvP options. Ubisoft seems to have this mentality that they'll just force fans to play what Ubi wants them to play, not what the fans want to play.
Restricting matches to 5v5 would have been bad enough on the original Xbox or PS2, it's bad on 360 and PS3, and it's inexcusable on Xbox One and PS4. And getting rid of Team Deathmatch and Deathmatch simply because you want to force players into objective-based games seems like the height of arrogance.
