Perhaps those holding back on MP were waiting for Share Play all along, to test said lag in multiplayer games, and the possibility of using Share Play to cheat on Leaderboards by inviting elites to play as the host..

While I love the coop aspect of Shareplay pretty much any game with leaderboard integrity will be affected by people getting better players to post scores for them. I know the trophy community will probably make a market out of it.

I don't really see this being an issue in Trials. Share Play introduces some lag, making those awesome SUPER FAST runs very VERY difficult to do for someone else over the service.

Why would someone who is ranked high up, log on to someone's profile to bump their rank? This seems ultra pointless. I don't doubt that may happen. In the end, does it even matter?
We're talking about a rank in a game where so few care about rank or even has the sufficient amount of hours to be that good. So, it's not as if you're actually competing against 1 million players, but maybe a few hundred. How many people actually have a ton of time in Trials?
Plus, since the leaderboards aren't unified, rank isn't very true...at least on the PSN. I'm ranked 50th without putting much effort in. I'm probably 400th in reality. Then figure how many have as much time played as I do....maybe 2000 people? Is this really a big feat? haah

Long gone are the days when games were bought to play them... Now some players buy them to get XP to be just the players who have the most XP. Getting someone to play for you is like paying someone to go to the gym to lift the 200kg weight for you.
