I did not answer because those are questions that we cannot answer at this time -- believe me, that's not the only thread we haven't answered. If you don't think I'm contributing anything that's fine, it's your opinion.

No offense Miisty, but it seems like the guy was just trying to get some acknowledgment that his post was seen/read. Even if it was the standard "devs read the forum, can't say anything" answer. He may have even tried to PM her, but she doesn't respond to those either...but there's probably more to it I just don't know.

Not trying to tell you how to moderate..your board your rules. Just a lot of frustration here because FC3 was such a letdown to the MP/mapping community. If this is another letdown then don't worry, we'll be gone for good.

The vast majority of us appreciate what you're doing for us!!
Those of us who have brains (most of us) know this is your job and if you can't share the information, then we have to respect that!

I've seen a lot of overly aggressive posts on the forums lately and negative comments towards moderators, and I know how easy it is to let this get under your skin... And not a lot of people take the time to give positive feedback... So I'll just tell you right now you're doing a damn good job which should be obvious for everyone who is seeing how often you take the time to respond to us!

I completely understand everything you've said. I read all of my messages, but I don't necessarily respond to all of them. I'll be the first to admit that. I also understand that everyone is frustrated... I'm frustrated as well. But I'll do my best to provide you with all of the information I can.

Funny how Alex had time on twitter to mention the press testing out multiplayer today. But cant even answer any of us asking about the server browser or publishing vehicles or ai or animals in multiplayer maps. Piss poor PR.

I really think it's because Ubi has some kind of marketing agreement with the press, to get them coverage to various websites. When Alex says things like "Legally, I can't talk about it right now", that's what it suggests to me.

Which is unfortunate. But the good news is, it gives the press a good amount of time to do a sturdy write-up, feature vids, etc. This is a common practice in this industry, sadly. Press usually get hands on with stuff WAY before the consumers do.

This trend is changing and indie developers seem to be on top of it. AAA needs to play catchup here. I don't care about Ubis legal obligations. When those legal obligations result in you treating your fans like **** then your marketing plan sucks and needs to change. EVERYBODY Knows that the CUSTOMER is supposed to be #1. Ubisoft has lost sight of this with their garbage contracts with the media.

The legal agreement refers to employees releasing unapproved info. Think of the NDA the recent visitors had to sign before seeing the map editor. Employees are under the same thing, and could not only lose their job..they could be sued if they divulge info not approved to be public. It's not a media thing.
