    this is very not good

why must every one of min's soldiers wear red pants? WTH is the matter with you; I miss the old enemy design.

It made sense in far cry 3 for the pirates to wear red face or green bandanas to differentiate their rank but please tell me there's other enemy concepts besides red pants guys if not please go back to the previous E3 design before you trigger somebody's epilepsy with those horrible red pants.

what happened to these realistic looking enemy types, are they still in the game? if not you really do suck.

See this is a major problem with modern AAA game design. They HAVE to hold the hands of the casuals who make up the majority of sales and the product suffers for it. Enemies are clearly marked so you don't shoot your own guys or civilians. Climbable objects stand out vividly from the scenery. Items glow so they don't get mixed in with the random detail objects. Catching onto a ledge or rope is done for you so long as you're within 10 feet. If you die you don't actually lose progress, you just spawn 100 feet away. I understand and encourage the fact that they're trying to reduce the frustration factor but modern companies are doing it at the expense of immersion and challenge. Games nowadays are far too auto win even on the highest difficulties. I'm not saying excessive difficulty like in Dark Souls is a good thing but something along the lines of the original Tomb Raider games where you actually had to look around your environment and pay attention to things.

The red enemies aren't a huge deal to me but I don't like having my hand held. I liked the way it was done in FC2 much better. You actually had to pay attention to what your target was doing to figure out if they were on your side or trying to kill you.

The worst part is that enemies are easily identifiable without the red pants.

In FarCry2, except for when your buddy came in or you were in the no-fire zone towns, literally EVERY other NPC in the world was trying to kill you though. The game really didn't have any friendly or neutral NPCs...

the red pants are indeed an oddity

Yeah, seems they changed most of the royal army to wear more of their faction's color which is red; in the E3 demo all of the soldiers wore matching white camo which depicted them as looking similar to the Chinese military which if I have to guess why they changed the look of the royal army is because UBI wanted min's army to stand out as unique so they re skinned all of the soldiers to wear matching red pants, this also supports the factions of FC3/4 having color coordinated outfits where as the golden path faction wear yellow which is closest to gold the royal army wear red as min wanted them to as for why it's unknown.

but if I may suggest something; why not have had the loyalists pagans of the royal army wear red pants as a devotion/religious standard to min and have the elite/royal guard dress more professional like the winter camo soldiers?

apparently these men are the royal army elite
my prejudice: Why do these guys look awesome and the low land soldiers all have to wear the same goofy *** red pants?
bottom line: Not all of min's soldiers should be wearing the same pants; it makes you look lazy ubisoft.

I checked FC3 and only the pirate, chargers, wore the red pants. I 'm not telling you how to develop your game but eventually it's gonna get tiresome killing guys in red pants unless they are other enemy types or another faction that's not been revealed yet.. does have me wondering about this guy..

A royal army sniper from an earlier build or *hints* of A potential blue faction?

I reckon it's too late in the developing cycle to change the game but please in far cry 5; no more red pants.
