Loading screen / teleportation in an open world..?

I noticed in a preview video that when We want to go to shangri-la or up to the himalayan peaks we are teleport instead of being able to walk to reach those places like in FC3 and GTA5....

Loading screen and teleportation could break the imersion....why such a unusual decision from Ubisoft for FC4 open world...

Because it was not possible to build the Hymalayan peaks with the general area of Kyrat... The map would be then too big.
And Shangri-La is a spiritual world, not an actual place, so you're kind of forced to go through a loading screen or whatever.

For Shangri-La it is perfectly acceptable but for the montain's peaks a would have prefer to climb it all the way up...for more immersive sensations.

I'll be playing the SP off a SSD so it won't really effect me.

What could have been done is design the map in such a way that we could only have one path to climb almost to the montain's peaks in the himalaya.

Then....the only Last path to reach the himalaya peaks would be through a cavern. Half way in....the environment could load in background while we walk so no cut scene would scrap the immersion.

    That would have been possible.....

Let's be honest, in Far Cry 3, would you actually swim from one island to the other island? Well maybe, but fast travel defeats that purpose.

Fast travel is great but it doesn't have to be the only way....

At least in Far Cry 3 we had the choice. I did swim across..i also used a boat...and even fly half way....

To be able to use fast travel or walk.....or drive...or climb...or fly everywhere without cutsrceen teleportation is very cool in an open World video game. !

I think I saw in a FC4 video that from the himalayan we will fly down to the lowlands and dense clouds with almost zero visibility will be use to load in background the lowland environment....so a similar design of transition could have been used to climb up....

We would have been able to walk....climb or fly up to the cavern's entry....and the transition would have been done while walking in the cavern....

Wha? Seriously? Teleport to Mt Everest? No no no, whats the use of an open world game then? The more I am learning, the more upset I am becoming...

    Go to 4:20

The way down from the himalayen montain's peaks to the lowlands look super cool...

from 3:00 to about 4:20 You wingsuit down and then through an hole in the rock and the lowland environment is then in front of you....no cutscreen or teleportation....so why ubisoft didn't do a similar transition to our way up....
