    Warping Bodies.. is it fixed?

    Been watching all the new video traffic.. so many attractive effects, from dust trails to foliage to flares to atmospherics.

    One ugly thing has returned though. When something dies, it doesn't just fall into its death animation naturally. It jerks there, and worryingly often, the dying model warps a few feet. I remember this being really disconnecting in the last game, and the engine suffered it in multiplayer as well.

    Tell me the devs have seen and fixed this. I would really like things to crumple naturally where they die in sp and MP this time around. Watch for it, watch a dozen go down, you'll see a few teleport. Watch the snow mission replay, the early animals and enemies all warp.

    Its minor, but breaks the otherwise polished finish. Would be cool if we lived in a world where Ubi devs would comment here and say, 'yeah, we noticed it too. Long been a hangup with the engine. We caught it. No more warping.'..

    Ha, I get it.. nobody said anything because they either thought I'm crazy or just because I didn't show it..

    Well, watching Westie's new video, I saw it THREE TIMES IN TWO MINUTES!

    So just had to revive this thread and show you this time. Believe me you will notice this once the game is in our hands. Avatars just warping around. Or Ubi could jump in and say its fixed..

    WATCH at 2:30 and see really clearly the guard walking at a wall.. and the warp across the room..

    Yeah that's pretty bad, that's probably more to do with co-op being peer to peer.
    2 other things i noticed that look dodgy in that video is the animation for carrying a body while crouched at 3:05 and my pet hate from fc3, the alpha fade in for distant-close models that looks absolute rubbish(i always think it looks like someone on star trek teleporting a tree using a bad mpeg compression).

    I agree, but even on the players you shouldn't see that, there should be smoothing for spikes, but on the AI sync is nuts.

    And lords yes that alpha, just an engine restraint. I think I saw my pet hate in one of the coop videos too, where they took to the sky in a gyro and headed off to a fortress. The assets of the building came in through sky blue! Remember that? When you'd suddenly get patches of THE most contrasting underneath world colour, skybox, shining through the landscape. They really need a remedy for that. Looks so under construction..
