I understand what you mean but i was thinking of building an actual track because some builders old or new don't like to upload things that look unfinished and one of the big factors to get people involved on each platform is to actual be able to upload it to track central so others can see something is going on and maybe they will join in If its done monthly i'm sure people will have time to fit it in with their normal track building. That's just my thought though , i actually don't know how the process would work to show it only took you the said time limit. Maybe the time limit for the length of track is a good thing like say 1.00 min long or so long in length. If we keep the theme or title something like ( Community Track Challange ) then we can try all sorts of things. New ideas and old ideas as you speak of. Cool just thought if we stick CTC in the title of the work uploaded it should advertise it self as things have before.

I would imagine it would be more benificial to have it set open to all levels , should widen the audience and get more people involved. Also it would be good to stick something regarding this in its title like ( CTC ) and maybe some info reagarding it in the description part. Maybe saying about the forum being the focal point to it all.

It would also be good to also upload them to a place in here as we can look at other platforms creations and all keep involved. Hopefully if we need assistance with things regarding threads and so forth from a mod but i think we can create the desired thing we need with whats available anyway.

I say let just start it get it rolling , if people want to put some more ideas up and discuss which we all seem best suited to start with , dont forget it can be different the next month so every idea can be done or mixed.

My thoughts for the first are to stick to a simple few rules theme/length/weatherconditions then it could change accordingly as it progresses. I also would imagine that short tracks for this event would be ideal say under a 1 min or so long

Whats we have so far -

120min track build
certain themes/using terrain mods/using certain objects
2d tracks
underwatertracks.
Certain length/time

CTE is as good a name as any so sounds like we know what to call it.

Ok rather waiting and getting too many ideas where we dont know what to start with would anyone mind if i just picked a set rule to start with to get the thing started and up and running keeping in mind as what has been said already. Then others can choose and so forth. If anyone doesn't mind then i will set up a thread "Custom track event" with the first choices or events and set guidelines. If we set it for lets say the start of next week for a months time is that fine by all. Also do people think its better to only have one enrty , i personally don't if its for a month because they wont be judged so to speak and hopefully builders will get help and tips or possible people to guide them into making better stuff.

If whatever i come up with is not to anyone taste then it doesn't matter because it can be changed to suit whatever taste and so forth. I will have to apologise first for my grammer in stuff like this. If people think there should be more of a debate about what to do then by all means that's fine. It can just get a little hard to decide what's for the best when you have to many good ideas i reckon.

Optimal Prime

Build a track using just the primitive shapes. No other object type should be visible, not even the sun/moon. I like it because it's object restrictive yet very open themed.

the idea is cool all ideas are but does it not defeat the objective of the reason for the challange lol , if you can only use the primes and have nothing else on screen its not very creative or am i getting the wrong idea. will it not just be making an enormous mishape. Its not what i was thinking along the lines of , was really thinking challanges that give people chances to use certain things in the editor and so forth. But if thats what you like then thats cool it can be done , its going to be hard to actually decide on the first one because i dont want people to get the wrong impression if its not thier idea thats used or so on. So like i said shall i just start one and then someone can decide on the next. Thats the point about this , we are all taking part soeveryone can choose the rules once a month.

Tell ya what im just going to start one soon with whatever and then it can go from there.
