ANBA is simply awesome in the early/mid game.... but once you have entered the "get the best score on every track" phase of gameplay it quickly becomes too costly to use due to lack of track selection/control (and the ridiculous cost of skipping an opponent). And its opponent choice (like above) starts getting weird too...

My alternate Id is close to reaching this point; ANBA now does a much better job of choosing across a wider selection of tracks than it used to, but it still seems to have a certain obsession for certain tracks.....ANBA has really been focussing on Sunshine District for some reason, and has made me reach #105 there. . . .until I get more Berzerker upgrades I will have to skip. . . . in the meantime I have plenty of tracks I only have Silver on!

more details on my current challenge

    im currently ranked 9th

alex is 3rd ahead of me by .840

    4th place is "only" .463

    8th place is .040

what doesnt make sense to me is why does ANBA choose alex for me instead of anyone else between us?

It might just be my personal view but an anba should be locked from the island, grindhouse and any other inferno-qualifying difficulty tracks. Especially when you spent 2 hours on a track trying to beat your approximately #334 score of around 21.100 seconds (alpha street)

Note: that wasn't to brag. It was to point out how ridiculous it can get.

Truthfully, for many of the folks on this forum, that's not bragging; although no-faulting alpha street is a good milestone). But we do understand when you say ANBA can get ridiculous. Personally, I like having ANBA on all tracks.... What's inferno for you now won't be inferno later.

True, but when you face live opponents constantly on island tracks, it gets… outright unfun. I only no-faulted for the mission and I forgot to make a fault to allow myself leeway room when anba would come and be a jerk.

update, im still stuck on the same challenge.

ive improved my time twice. Im now only .450 behind alex and ive moved from 9th to 6th.

its really unfair to think ive improved my time by nearly .4 seconds and im still not close to beating my opponent but on other tracks it may give me a challenge to beat someone only .001 better than me.

gems are too valuable to spend 10 to skip an opponent but im sure i will end up doing it again. the big reason not to do it is the high change i get stuck on the next opponent anyway. I tell myself i will pay up if i win gems or improve my time to top 5.
