If you catch me on, type something in. I read the texts, but usually don't use a mic, unless needed. It may be a while though. It's hard to spend a lot of time editing for a small audience. Even the last uplay picks only have 300 likes in a few days. The ones from last week barely 1000 likes. Uplay sucks up the higher spots on the feed, adding to the small amount of views, as well.
We all create simply because we enjoy it, but watching a few tracks get bumped way down due to uplay picks and more so....spam/half baked tracks..makes it hard to get inspired.

i hear u . i gave up a long time ago worrying about downloads . i just plod on and get something done when i get inspired. not being able to test tracks killed it for me. i learned "EVERYTHING " off my friends this way .. loved helping friends . them helping me . seeing new unfinished tracks before anyone else knowing they would be classics .upping my game when a friend made an amazing track and showed me . what happened ? i also miss having pieces to build with instead of stuff . i just installed evo gold and i was inching to build straight away . all those ramps .the realistic feel . the bike oh my the bike . girders . planks fences , concrete that looks like concrete . awesome game . wish someone would port it to next gen .

MPC, I definitely know I've been involved in a few conversations with you on building tracks in the past, you are very talented and do make awesome tracks and rightly won the track jam 2 along with monsti. BUT. Don't let the fact you can't test tracks with people be the reason you're un-inspired. You can still make what ever you want without the feedback (I will explain this) and I agree that the objects on fusion are not as easy to be inspired than evo.

Okay, this is why to everybody (the builders)... Yes it was easier to build on evo because the objects was more diverse. It is set in an era we live in which is pretty easy to think of realistic scenarios. you can make most things in the era we are in, that was a common thing for evo, it's a generic view but very true. Also the fact that (to me) 90% of the themed tracks on evo were destroyed tracks gave evo a pretty distinctive theme of being a game where making destroyed tracks was the normal theme.

Fusion is not evo! . It's trials, but it is not evolution. That is the game before fusion, the new concept to fusion is futuristic, the objects given are futuristic,(not destroyed places like evo) if you want to make tracks... you are given futuristic objects and objects that fit this game, the idea is you make tracks with pieces given and make something cool. Not everyone is as experienced in building on trials as some but by no means should we not try to help them to get better, but it is still not evolution. This is fusion. Build what you can with the objects given... please don't use objects from a previous game as an excuse for losing creativeness. Use everything you are given to an advantage, not a disappointment.

This is my PO. Don't use wood as an excuse for having no inspiration on this game. Trials evolution is very much still available on the xbox live marketplace.

Speaking of wood, why wasn't wood used in any dlc to date? You could actually have full wood dlc...log cabins, ramps, bridges, etc...mixed with a western theme.

The fact that i am unable to get tracks tested before upload is one of my mian downfalls. Each time i upload a track and had a few days from testing it i can see clearly were i went wrong and this is the case always. People says test and test and test again but this does not always work has you become blindsided towards what you are doing wrong the more you play it beacuse it seems that you ride around the problem and bend your own game to this therfore not seeing what a new person downloading the game would actually get on first instance.

I don,t think it should be classed as that was evo or another game because that is what being creative is , its being able to bend whats not into what is but what i would say ( not that i have had a lot of experience ) If wood is a problem then change how wood would look in the future. It could be recycled because of no trees anymore or it could look like plastic. Its the future we havent a clue what things will look like hundreds of years in front. As soon as the word future was titled for this game , they gave everyone a free pass out of being creative because there is no perfect way to make an object look like its set in the future or the past of a future that doesn't exsist yet lol. That goes back to other previous games , we can still make the objects in this game look like they are around the time of them themes because nobody states that the era has passed.

I think the biggest problem we have and that's people thinking they have to follow every top builder and stick to thier rules to build a quality track. Build your own track , making a track that shouldn't really be liked due to bad camera angles and wrong driveline events or too much animation but in the end you just have to like. That,s what i would call being creative , but i would think as my track suggest that to get there you are going to make lots of terrible tracks lol.

most of that wasnt a reply towards you twitchy , just the begining was a reply..

This. Not being able to let people test a track, for me, makes building alot different. My problem is, I have too many doubts while making a track, in evo I could just load up the track with someone and see how they react to a part of the track. Now, I either have to take a break from the track to have a fresh look on it later, or I just waste time overthinking it.

And I can only imaging how worse this is for new builders now. I learned everything from other people that tested my tracks, gave me tips, encouraged my building. If I hadn't people to test my first track it would have been boring/bad. (3 times as long and not nearly the amount of obstacles it had when I finished it)

Not having a test option also limits the community interaction/feeling imo. Everybody is building on their own, basically shut off from everyone else.

It is nice to have other people test out each other's maps but we will get that soon enough. I can wait until then.

ps: shifty, you spelled my name wrong. ;P
