Just payed £3.99 for the Abyss DLC on the Xbox 360 Dashboard but when i load the game up the section is locked. Did i really just pay £3.99 for nothing?

I also want to point out there there is two versions of the DLC on the 360 marketplace. One of them is free so i downloaded thisonen first (obviously) to see if it would work or not. It did not so i bought the one that cost £3.99. Still didnt work.
