Not really heard of them, as far as I know. Would prefer RATM I expect, so I really hope this doesn't make Rage any less likely.

But that aside, if this lot sound anything like RATM I expect I'm in.

I'm totally with you on that one. At least i think their music is of equal quality. I like to see them as a more Radiofriendly Version of Soundgarden mixed up with Morellos wild Guitar Solos.

IMO many supergroups sound awesome. See Emerson, Lake &Palmer for instance which was one of the first supergroups by the end of the 60s. Actually I have a hard time finding supergroups that are not as good as the bands they originate from, but maybe they're not well-known because they failed In recent years there have been quite a lot of them, but I really like Them Crooked Vultures for instance, Velvet Revolver, Audioslave, Liquid Tension Experiment, all these supergroups kick ***

Chickenfoot is pretty terrible, Killer be Killed is a letdown, Science Faxtion was extremely disappointing.

You're right though, most times when a bunch of talented musicians from established bands choose to do a project it's almost always awesome

I am with you on this one. I am usually not one to gravitate towards that style of music, and Sammy has a history of some cringe-worthy lyrics. But I really like their back-to-basics approach, catchy songs, great tone and monsterous guitar work. It is nice to hear technical mastery played off-the-cuff and with whimsy.
