Call me when something actually changes, please? I don't mean to go smartarse on you for doing your job, but the main gripe with Steam/Origin+UPlay is, well-UPlay. Just because it seamlessly logs into UPlay, doesn't changes the fact that the game still requires UPlay AND Steam/Origin to play. And neither does it changes the fact that UPlay is still a complete garbage that nobody wants, other than Ubisoft.Originally Posted by Mr_Shade Go to original post

Except for the whole locations, enemies, allies, story, vehicles, new equipment and weapons, It's almost likely a completely different game.
Top picture is an artwork, not an actual screenshot from the game. So that's not valid.Originally Posted by houcksf Go to original post
FC4 already look and feel extremely similar to FC3, you can see it in gameplays... just look it up..
A new location is the less they could do, and the less you could expect. Yes they seem to have done a good job with the new map tho.
Ennemies and allies? Yeah maybe. But you mean new skins to fit the theme. Again, that's the minimum to do. New AI ? Don't know yet, that's not sure.
Same with animals.
New equipement and weapons? If 90% of the weapons are exactly the same, that's worthless.
It's FAR from being a "completely different game".
It's a different environment with some upgraded mechanics and graphics, yes, but not a different game than FC3. It's clearly based on FC3.
Oh I didn't saw that. Anyway I agree, that's another pointless feature by Ubisoft. You still need uplay for boot the games.Originally Posted by luciusnetheril Go to original post
aka FC 3.5 (which will probably have an improved multiplayer... that's right Ubisoft? Uh?)Originally Posted by FR_Player-One Go to original post

btw, comparing an old gen ingame screenshot to an new gen artwork isnt really fair but understanable coz not a single screenshot has been released of FC4 on the last gen.
and btw we must hope FC4 looks as good as advertized, coz it wouldnt be the first time ubisoft downgraded the graphics.
i guess you noticed im not hyped yet, i guess only a video showing custom lobbies can do that![]()
Dear Ubi_Jax
I am a long time Far Cry veteran and I know that you can use the environment and animals to your advantage. Well I guess you purposely seem to reduce the lack of innovation you are offering to the implication that it is only about destroying everything. A diversity of new tools, however would probably enhance the tactic challenge and experience which many of us expect in a Far Cry sequel.
As usual Thank you for listening
Well... if it was a "completely different game", it wouldn't feel like Far Cry anymore... would it?Originally Posted by FR_Player-One Go to original post
It would.Originally Posted by xMiiSTY Go to original post
We just have to look back at previous Far Crys.
The differences between the first Far Crys (Instinct / Predator included) and Far Cry 2 are numerous enough, and important enough to make them feel like two completeley different games (althought keeping the elements unique to the series, they're as different as two games from the same series can reasonably get).
Same goes between FC2 and FC3.
But not between FC3 and FC4 (as far as we know yet). It feels more like a " Far Cry 3+ " rather than a complete new game.
We can see the foundation of it is Far Cry 3. There is not even a doubt about that.
Don't get me wrong, Far Cry 3 "formula" (as we've heard it called) was good. Not perfect, hopefully they improved some of the negative aspects.
But I like each episode to be unique. To look and feel unique, specific characters / AI, vehicles, weapons, animations ! etc... at least for the major part of the game.
