Ubisoft explored South America and Russia settings for Far Cry 4

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...-for-far-cry-4

I would have prefered FC4 to set in South America, but Himalayas doesn't look bad though.

Both locations would be excellent, Russia is such a huge country that borders on so many others, however I believe the Himalayas will be a great location - I just hope that FC4 is a great game but I am always disappointed with the multiplayer side.

I vote for far cry 5 in south america. This continent has everything for a typical far cry game.

Atleast i hope ubisoft will return to the realisme of fc2 instead of wandering further into fantasyland.

Himalaya is perfect for Far Cry 4

For far cry 5.....i vote Colombia / Panama border. Colombia Will bring the tropical forest environment....With drug secret Labs.....drug dealer's secret submarines....awesome environment and Panama side Will bring Panama canal....cargo ships....secret abandoned american base....volcano....sand blass islands.

All this and alot more possibilities. ..

I hope the next one will be set in Africa again....

Sure the Himalayas look nice and it's definitely a good choice for the setting but I really liked the setting of Far Cry 2

To be honest I was a bit dissapointed with the jungle setting in Far Cry 3. It sure looked nice but it was less original than the setting of Far Cry 2. The Africa setting was a great mix of all these different vegetation types (jungle, savannah, desert,....)

When I played Far Cry 10 years ago, the first thing that hit me was how beautiful and bright the environment was. Africa was very drab and depressing. More tropical areas in Africa or South America would be great.

Far Cry 2 was a good game but had many, many things wrong with it. I don't understand why everyone on this forum worship it. Yeah the mp was much better than 3, but the environment, malaria, and constantly respawning outposts were a step in the wrong direction, in my opinion. Also it was a huge game which is good but extremely repetitive which is bad.

Far Cry 2 wasn't perfect, but many players like me immersed more than Far Cry 3. Far Cry 3 Island felt more dead and boring for me and after you had all the outposts the island is empty of enemies (yeah yeah I know about the patch etc.) and that was really disappointing. Also when you have all the abilities/perks you were god and you could heal without syringes, while in Far Cry 2 you were a normal merc and you had only 5 syringes. Tha game was "realistic" and more challenging.

Healing a gun shot wound with a syringe is realistic?
