Will There Be A Massive Downloadable Update!? (XBONE)

This is the only deal breaker for me - massive day one / week one game updates for XBOX One.

Where I live, and the only internet I can get, I pay roughly $10.00AU per GB of data. I am willing to download 1GB of updates early on, I can eat that cost - but any more than that and the price of playing a game becomes too much.

mini rant begin - I was screwed over with the second and third game I bought for XBOX One - Dead Rising 3 had something like a 16GB update (includes mandatory DLC) and Sniper Elite III had a 20GB update (why did I even BUY the friggin' game physically when the actual disc is about the same size!!!??). So I'd be paying an extra $160 and $200 just to enjoy games I already paid for. I'm sure there are MANY others with this same problem. - mini rant end.

Plus once the plastic seal on the game case is removed there is no way in hell the game shop will take it back, punish the money-paying gamers for the issues with pirates.

So, yeah, does anyone know if there will be any massive game updates early on? If there is then I may have to skip over this game for the time being - If not, then there is no issue and I will soon be loving it up in Kyrat.

    Nathan.

The problem with alot of releases is that without a BETA then theres are issues that appear after launch.

As we saw with Far Cry 3 (there was supposed to be a beta test but timescales and deadlines got that beta binned) - when the game launch it was full of bugs... then came a myriad of patches.

The patches themselves with take up more of your hard earned cash to download unfortunately and its not something that is factored into the release or the consequences of releasing post-launch patches - they just assume the patches fix stuff and doesnt cost anyone anything at the consumer end.

So... I would suggest holding off until we get confirmation that we have a squeaky clean game with a great MP that doesnt have more bugs than the African Savannah.
