I am getting a little leery to the fact that all the information that has been releases is nothing substantial but a couple videos of elephants and some in game footage. A fancy trip to research the game in the country that it is played in? I hope you had a wonderful time ,
Really??
TELL US ABOUT THE GAME – THE MP – THE MAP EDITOR—ANYTHING?
This all the info we have at this time. Yes I have a pre order, but I’m not gonna just buy another damn game that is half finished and is only a single player game with a broken multiplayer and map editor that is worthless. AGAIN!
Go ahead and print my copy Ubisoft, but keep in mind every pre order could be simply cancelled even at the day of pick up because the game is crap. Just like Far Cry 3 – you cancel the pre order Multiplayer Beta, without notice because you knew it was a crap.
Clear the air, give us the goods, tell us how great this game is.
SHOW US! PROVE IT!
If anyone thinks the same thing I am thinking, I can just wait to play this when I pull it off the shelf at wall mart for $ 20.00 – which it may be worth for a single player game with a broken Multiplayer rip off of Uncharted / COD and a Map Editor .
“ NO SERVER BROWSER AND DEDICATED SERVERS IN FC4 - NJO BUY! “ ( Thank you xRaDFRoachHX for the idea )
Oh yeah. This thread is locked-
We are working on it. We will be releasing more information within the next few weeks. Keep an eye out for it! Unfortunately, that's all the information I have for you right now. But we have some good stuff coming your way.Originally Posted by Imaganos Go to original post![]()
You'll forgive me I hope if I simply don't believe you about the "good stuff". I don't think you personally are lying but the wretched company you work for has done everything in it's power to shred my faith in the company to pieces and is hell bent on pushing forward as if nothing bad has ever happened to this franchise. I don't know how it works with community managers and upper management but I hope you guys don't hold back at all when it comes to telling them how much most of us hate the way this franchise is handled.Originally Posted by xMiiSTY Go to original post
Can you tell me why Ubisoft INSISTS on waiting until the very last second to address anything to do with MP? This isn't the first time Ubi's done it this way and it isn't the first time it's pissed fans off. So why does Ubi continue on as is?
The main thing Map Editors should have is patience, I mean patience to make a map and what not, surely we can be patient for a little longer.
I am also eagerly waiting for any info regarding the editor and lobby system, but I know we will get the answer eventually!
If not, then all those not pre-ordering it will find out how the systems work from people who will have the game from day one.
We have some good stuff means nothing after Far Cry 3. Only lies and BS on this forum from UBI-employees.Originally Posted by xMiiSTY Go to original post
If the MP part of the game is on track UBI would do a lot of promoting, let's not forget that Halo, COD and GTA are coming out in the same window.
A clone of Far Cry 3 SP and an Arena mode taken from Ryse is not going to convince a lot of people.
I know tempers are high - however lets not start with the insults.Originally Posted by oRAZORTAILo Go to original post
Miisty has given you the reason why information might appear to be slow at coming out - this is not a 'lie or BS' - it's the same answer you would get from myself etc.
The team are not purposely hiding or holding information back to annoy you or anyone - just there is always people asking for things that we can't always say about..
All I can suggest is the same as she has already - relax and wait
The game is playable at Eurogamer this weekend - which I am attending, if anyone is going, so you may get some more feedback from the SP then - as more people play it.
For MP / Editor - Miisty has already commented on that..
Dapper, I totally agree with this... for most companies. But this is Ubisoft. What have they done to earn our patience? I totally get why they can't show us some things. But they can TELL us about things like the lobby system. I think Ubi is too afraid we'll point out how stupid what they're doing is like we did with the whole no vehicles thing.Originally Posted by DapperHayden007 Go to original post
This is a great response, and a good argument, but maybe the lobby system is still incomplete and small changes can still possibly be made, I'm not sure, it's something I would like to know too. I have confidence that Red Storm will think about the community map sharing system, but a confirmation on how the lobby system works is much needed.Originally Posted by usmovers_02 Go to original post
I really hope it is fixed back to the way Far Cry 2 was, it worked so much better.
Especially considering (no offence Ubisoft) the map editing community create far superior maps in comparison to Ubi's own staff (I could be wrong with FC4, but we'll see) This is why the System is so important, in fact probably more important than the actual multiplayer gameplay itself. Far Cry 2 may have had clunky controls and some horrible ways of playing it, but for me it was the game that created the most memories in my Lifetime of gaming. I had so much fun on FC2 mainly because the system worked so well.
That is the thing isn't it, no reason has been given. We have been hearing soon for a very long time now. You are telling me I am insulting someone, how many times have we been insulted on this forum then ? lets do a contest and just pick the worst maps as winners, lets say the beta (fc3) is not cancelled due to poor quality of the game, no thanks to your revised timeline we will enjoy a great MP experience from day one..|( not my personal opinion FC3 was the worst MP ever ! ) LOL Mr. Shade.. no need to go on 130 pages filled with insults. answers given in the DEV-thread = none !Originally Posted by Mr_Shade Go to original post
UBI needs to reach out to their fans for once, can't be that hard to tell us that we are getting the FC2 lobbies back since this should be decided in an early stage of development.
