Sorry but are you ******? Tons of people say that Ubi Support is totally useless against cheaters and you tell us to contact them? This is the problem of Ubisoft: YOU DON'T LISTEN AT ALL OR SIMPLY YOU IGNORE CUSTOMERSOriginally Posted by Ubi-Leorthian Go to original post
Hello bolz87,
As I said earlier in this thread, the Ubisoft Support team are the people who handle reports of cheating. The moderators here on the Uplay forum handle issues that directly affect Uplay, so game specific issues (like player actions in multi-player modes of those games) aren't things I can help you with to any great extent.
As I also said earlier, I don't work directly for the support team so I don't know what the support team's policies are for handling reports of cheating, but I am certain that support will take appropriate action in line with their policies. It's also possible that those policies may vary from game to game to be appropriate for the different situations that can arise in different games.
You are not a fan of it, but anyway support doesn't do anything about cheaters, I hope you will pass the feedback to your team because both FC3 and SB:BL (don't know about AC since I stopped playing from ACIII) MP communities are dead for your fault. Maybe the only good game is FC2, since there are dedicated servers and PUNKBUSTER.
I would say, from technical standpoint, if you take VAC as a good example, it's impossible that VAC really bans someone by mistake, as this anti cheating module was made for direct tracking of intrusion by third party cheating/hacking software (T-Search, Cheat Engine, Art Money and then bunch of pre programmed trainer programs, you name it), which likely to screw with values of the game (first cheater traces values, finds them and then freezes them or increases by enormous sizes etc etc).Originally Posted by Ubi-Leorthian Go to original post
This leads me to the next point! What kind of software is likely to screw with the values of the game?! In 98% of all cases it's cheating/hacking software, and then the rest might be some software made by some enthusiast developers, let's say, maybe for game modding or bug / option fixing which the original game developer didn't have any will for fixing (and this bug was annoying for many folks, so community craved for it).
As far as I'm aware, the usual probability of amount of fair players is always much bigger than cheaters and when cheaters come to the game, the fair players, which is absolute majority, abandon the game. This leads to the dead multiplayer. Well maybe not, because more people find cheating possible and eventually more cheaters populate the whole multiplayer so in the end of the day only cheaters end up competing against each other and showing each other who got more skills in hacking / who hacked the game better.
From business perspective something like Uplay Anti Cheat could save a lot of time for people who work in Ubisoft support, as there will most likely not be any complaints from players regarding cheaters and then obviously support team will not need to review anything regarding cheaters.
What I suspect is that Ubisoft is doing it on the contrary, they don't make any anti cheat, so that multiplayer experience could die out as fast as possible and they would completely drop support for the game...
BUT if there will be any Anti Cheat which Ubisoft is going for developing in future, I am just recommending TO TEST IT PROPERLY AND EFFICIENTLY BEFORE MAKING IT PUBLIC as if it will work incorrectly and accidentally ban innocent people, obviously no one is going to be happy (In shorter words, Ubisoft should put far more responsibility than in development of Assassins Creed Unity / realistic deadlines for this, proper workflow and proper testing before releasing).
The alternative would be not to invent a bicycle and talk to Valve about a possibility of VAC integration in PC versions of your games which are available on Steam.
I am a fair player and in my humble opinion a company which doesn't take responsibility for removing / cleaning up / banning players who take an unfair advantage over fair players, is an ignarant company! I better leave and not buy any future Ubisoft product.
I already suspect Rainbow Six: Seige is going to be exact same mess just because of lack of anti cheat!
Look at the ranks of Splinter Cell Blacklist? What's the point to even play the game when you can literally hack everything in the row?
Hello T-Bone,
Firstly, I'd like to preface this with the statement that I'm not talking on behalf of Ubisoft here, this is my personal opinion, and I have no information on whether or not any kind of automated system is being developed by Ubisoft.
With that out of the way, I'm sorry if there was confusion about my earlier statement. I wasn't suggesting that automated systems were inherently bad or broken, just that permanent bans should not be placed on accounts by them. I have worked on a number of games for other companies in the past and am well aware of the benefit automated systems can bring with regards to the speed of response etc. However, I am firmly of the opinion that any such automated responses should be temporary suspensions, and that there should be a well-trained person who reviews those cases before deciding whether or not to convert those suspensions into permanent bans.
Well I agree that maybe not permanent ban, but lets say if cheater hacks the game first time, it would be good to issue a warning, if cheater keeps hacking, a ban for a week, if after a week cheater keeps hacking a ban for a year, if after a year cheater keeps hacking then it's a permanent ban, I'm sorry, he had enough chances to stop hacking!Originally Posted by Ubi-Leorthian Go to original post
In this case no need for a "well-trained" person!
It's just like You Tube, very simple, 3 strikes on your account due to copyright claim and you get terminated!
Well trained persons only will be needed to investigate if some ban happened by mistake!
Well in this case Anti Cheat Module should provide a clear picture of how intrusion by some third party software happened and in what way it affected the game!
Ya know i don't understand one thing about Ubisoft Far Cry 5 is an offline game when your not going near pvp and stuff and yet you people make us play the game with that Anti Easy cheat even when we're not around anyone else. When I bought Far Cry 5 I bought it to play by myself and play it with things that allow me to have fun on the game since I do not like being around people. A person should be allowed to play how ever they want to play as long as it does not effect anything and when your offline it does not effect anyone else since their isnt anyone else around.....Easy cheat should only be enabled when you go online not when your offline.......cheaters are people who do stuff online I do not do online i like unlimited ammo and stuff for offline
For PC gaming I have to use an unsigned driver in order to use my Merc ZBoard Keyboard which I have had for a long time and really like using.
The Easy Anti Cheat System wont allow me to run the game at all.
This is grossly unfair as I'm 78 years old , don't play multi player or play contests.
All I ask is to be able to play the game I paid good money for in single player mode on a key board of my choice.
I really enjoyed playing the Arcade in Solo mode now I can't play anything at all in Far Cry 5.
Is there some way I can get the game going again using my ZBoard and please don't suggest asking Steel Series the makers of the board for a new driver as they won't help.
It's just not right and is surely discriminatory that I cannot play a game I have paid for because of this EAC.
Please find a way for me to continue to play MY paid for Game in Single Player mode using a key board of my choice .
