i reached this point maybe 4 to 6 months ago. after playing almost all of soft launch, id been going for a while at that point. i almost entirely stopped playing for maybe a month or so (no slot machine even!!!) i will likely come and go as the mood takes me, and content releases will likely have a draw effect on me. its not a bad thing if you are feeling a bit burnt out of the game. everyone experiences this with anything they sink a great deal of time and effort into. all it means is that maybe its time to re-direct your effort, or take a bit of a break. this is not to say that it is permanent. if you enjoy the game, you will likely come back to it at some point, and the enjoyment may be even greater! happy riding to everyone!

I barely played my 360 for the last few months but Destiny has become my new grind.

I haven't played Frontier since I finished my 14th daily slot machine spin for The Priest helmet. It still holds a fond place in my heart and I'll check in for updates and new content but competitively I'm done. It is annoying because I know there are still a lot of times I can improve and it had all clicked into place shortly before I stopped playing but one grind at a time is enough for anybody!

Like with any Trials game, you stop playing for any length of time and you lose your edge. I've accepted that but it would be nice to still be in the top 50 next time I check in.

Seriously though, all games suffer from the law of diminishing returns. The more you play it the less you get out of it. I reached a point about a month ago where I thought I'd hit my ceiling and the game was done. If it wasn't for the bike upgrade system I probably would have stopped playing, not because I think those upgrades will help but because my completionist compulsion drives me to.

After this last update I ran the new courses a few times and settled for reasonable platinums. Most of those can be improved but I also started running courses I had long since given up on improving and I smashed those times with little effort!

I was looking at the map the other day and trying to figure out how much scope there is for adding new tracks. There are quite a few areas which will obviously feature new tracks but there is nothing to stop them adding a portal to a new map either (the whirlpool next to hardcore island is primed for this).

It may be that my play time dwindles over the next few months but I'll keep checking back for new content. Evolution was the pinnacle of Trials on console for me but I think I can say that I enjoy Frontier even more despite its obvious shortcomings.
I am very presently surprised by the response to my post I was not sure if I was the only one who felt like I do. Reading about other peoples feelings about the game in its current state does make me feel a little more positively about it, it is a good game deep down, it has kept my attention more than most games maybe only beaten by FIFA and it is basically better that FUSION. so Mandrake2007 im sorry to say if you mant to over take me your going to have to work for it

ive managed not to spend a single to dollar on this game. its not that i dont want to but rather not in the way they want me too. i would probably even pay for a costume or two
if i didnt feel so gross about the way they handle everything else. i really do love the game.
I have gotten soooo close to a WR on a few tracks I am a blink and you missed it away from one but them few 100ths of a second seem to be unattainable. I wouldn't mind just the one like you but when the top guys got like 50 im thinking its just not guna happen you are right it is a good game deep down.

WR on IOS at the moment is definitely truly difficult; so many world-class players. This area just isn't something I am willing to work for, I am sorry to say.

On the other hand, if I just change my point of view a little.... It's not so much my scores but where I am. . I am #9 on bouncy hills and #17 on risky rooftops... Both WR times on Android. Clearly, they are good times, and that is worth something. (Android dudes, I just pointed out some easy WRs, go grab some glory)

Still... I am back in "wait for next release" mode again, with my global dropping because my interest is low. Wish there was something else besides ranking to strive for here.

i wasnt going for a wr when i got mine, it happened because of playing anba. beating anba opponents brings me the most satisfaction in the game. it makes me feel like i still have something to do. another cool thing about playing anba is you end up on tracks you wouldnt consider playing and get a couple good scores and realize how close to the top you are. it helps that i am super stubborn too. ive been stuck on challenge for 2 days now.

I agree ANBA is good for that I have improved on times I was already happy with, yesterday I beat mandrake2007 on stilted path and ended up taking 6th I don't remember but I think I was about 16th beforehand so its good for that.

my main pull to the game at the moment other than improving times and the slot machine is the notifications of people beating my times its a big hit to your ego and like you I'm stubborn I don't give up until I beat the person or accept that I cannot get anymore out the bike (skill wise or upgrades) but at least improve my time.
