Before the latest update I had a stable game that only rarely dropped in frame rate. Since 2.3.0 my game has suffered massive slow down and increasingly frequent game crashes.

On the first day I noticed it immediately when attempting to link my facebook account but it didn't happen as often when racing tracks. It would crash maybe once during each tank of gas. As the days have gone by the crashes have become far more frequent to the point where yesterday I gave up trying to play other than to check in for the slot machine which very oddly always plays fine and never crashes.

I turned the game on today for the first time and ran my slot machine run. It played fine so I decided to give Desert Gondola a spin since that was the course I couldn't play the most. I got two clean runs and decided the problem was gone. I turned it off and left it. The next time I picked it up it refused to load up the track. When I eventually got it loaded it crashed first run. I tried The Cave next. Crashed on the second run.

I have successfully used the slot machine four times today but I've only finished three courses other than that.

It usually crashes after selecting a track to race before loading or just after finishing a course but not exclusively. It sometimes crashes while it is starting up and once it did it while I was looking at my upgrade parts.

The game has become unplayable.

I'm considering deleting the game and reinstalling it but I doubt that will fix it. I'm at my wits end.

Is anybody suffering to the same extent? I guess not or I'd have read it on here.

I have my suspicions as to why it is happening but it will sound like paranoia!

I believe many of us confirmed having the same issue. I myself started a similar thread.
Sometimes the game crashes every 5 minutes, sometimes doesnt crash for an hour. I thnk its more prone to crashes on a weaker device, as it usually crashes much more often on my ipad 2 than on an iphone 5. It became almost unplayable on the ipad, apart from crashes it stutters a lot, freezes for a moment, drops in frame rate etc. I believe youre playing on the same ipad so your situation must be pretty much the same. For me it also usually happens when starting up, or right after crossing the finish line, but also happens in the middle of a track sometimes.

I hope they can fix it soon and create an update just with the bug fixes, instead of us waiting for the new content to come out in couple of months..

I know other people are experiencing crashes too but to what extent I do not know. I am aware there are other threads, I posted this because it has become much worse and I wanted to include the information requested by ShiftySamurai when reporting an issue. I didn't fancy tacking this on to the end of a thread already in decline.

I don't have another device to play on. I cannot play the game.

I decided to delete it and reinstall.

Deleted it. Downloaded it again (from the cloud?).

Can't open it and it hasn't appeared in my app shortcuts.

Can't delete it either.

I have to admit that when I switched to ipad today the game crashes became so intrusive that its impossible to play. I got about 10 crashes in 30 minutes. I noticed that crashes happen more often when Im trying to race a ghost, or play ANBA mission. I tried loading ANBA mission for example and it crashed when loading 2 consecutive times. The third time it finally loaded, but was very slow and crashed during gameplay on second reload. I'm affraid that the crashes are more and more often for some reason. Maybe it has something to do with connection. I'll try playing offline later and see if it helps, but for now the game is unplayable on the ipad. I could switch to iphone, but its much harder to improve my times on an iphone, so I prefer to use ipad.

So either they fixed the crashing issue or deleting and reinstalling the game solves the problem.

I just played a full tank on Desert Gondola without a single crash or any slow down at all. It played like a dream and the loot wheel seemed really responsive too.

As a side note, I don't remember doing the opening three missions on The Riptide!? Has that changed or did I just not notice that detail the first time.

It has been a very frustrating day but it has worked out well in the end. All the pain was worth it. Glad to be back in the saddle.

Well, I think I know what happened.
Yesterday evening the game was unplayable on my ipad like I mentioned before. I could only play it without crashes when offline, but when I was doing ANBA mission offline and finally beat the ghost, and connected again, my score didnt update. When I tried online again I got crash every 3 minutes. So inspired by your other post about restarting ipad, I did the same. Guess what, didnt have a single crash since. I guess restarting your device solves the problem. At least for now.
