Meh...nothing interesting, yet.
I guess one of those cards they hold so close to their chests must be the MP...we can only hope.
Starting to get an uneasy feeling about FC4. 'Carbon Copy'? Veteran gamers may find it gets old fast?
I guess they should have Rockstar Games as a consultant. They seem to be the only ones that know how to create an immersive, fresh, game.
I really hope for the sake of everyone showing interest in this title that Ubisoft doesn't, yet again, botch up the release.
Atleast the review is honest, everything in the story is just like FC3.Originally Posted by mambonuts60 Go to original post
No beta announced, no big events coming up, we will most likely only get to see scripted material from editor and MP.
I don't expect a delay just a very unbalanced game with a lot of issues.
I can't help but wonder if interviewers are told outright 'Do not ask any questions about multiplayer'. It seems pretty weird that gaming interviewers have all decided off their own bat not to ask about what was the most criticised aspect of the last release. combine this with Ubi's refusal to give any details at any trade shows etc, things are not looking good.
I liked what Ian did asking about the MP but most likely they will tell you not to ask about MP, giving a score to a game is impossible if you don't have all the facts on the table.Originally Posted by MuddledMuppet Go to original post
The gamesites will rather have a good "relationship"with the major companies to avoid not getting any future scoops. Pretty sad that it works that way.
And once the game drops it's allready to late.
Ironicaly enough I have just responded to a post in the mapping section about doing map reviews. I was trying to say how important integrity is to a reviewer, without it the reviews are worthless. as gamers we all know this, I won't mention by name the countless sites/magazines that were once held up as a shiing example of integrity and credibility who are now seen as nothing more than a branch of publishers marketing, in fact it would be harder to list one that still retained those attributes.Originally Posted by oRAZORTAILo Go to original post
Gaming interviews nowadays have the same impact as some C list TV 'celebrity' happy to promote whatever pile of cack their guests are pushing, merely to have them on the show. Yeah yeah I'll promote your diet book/CD/movie/theme-park/designer colostomy bag, just come on the show!
Someone with integrity?Originally Posted by oRAZORTAILo Go to original post
(I'm NOT having a dig at you here btw bud or implying you don't have any!)
We all know the stories of sell-out by media, or dodgy practices whereby publishers threaten to withdraw advertising if a review is bad. How true they are I can't say, but they do have the ring of truth around them. such stories have been around pre-internet when magazines needed ad revenue to survive, now the big threat is for reviewers not to gain early access or access at all.
lol I just deleted a whole load of rant here... I was gonna post a load on this subject but the truth is it's as depressing to write as it would be to read, and almost as depressing as it is to watch yet another 'interview' on youtube.
