The writers have brought out a piece of story- the endless wars for covering the ashan world for the next expansions. I say make a base set III after the next expansion you release so that you can bring forth a new faction - dark elves are necessary or the massive fight between the angels and faceless would be impossible to feel if my celestial army fights against the sanctuary instead

They have stated the game can't support any further factions without a dramatic increase in cost to develop though, so this is pretty unlikely to happen.

Yes, and I'm telling you the devs have straight up said there are no plans to add any further factions.
