Some guy on ps4 is spaming his bs troll track. All extreme tracks created by the community were gone this morning the extreme category was filled with 1 track created by prettyboyswag. Ive got a track i want to upload but im hesitant because this fool. Is there anything that can be done about this idiot
unless there is a written rule in the terms from UB/RL in the game along the lines of "we can remove the privilege for a user to upload tracks for any of the listed reasons", then im sure no one can do anything. im not sure there is, i know you can report a user and maybe blocking a user will stop their creation from showing in your feeds, but this doesn't stop them from showing in others (if this is even what happens when someone is blocked)
maybe UB/RL can add a rule to the terms stating gross misuse of track uploading will not be tolerated and users may face a ban, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, etc
The track upload limit should have been addressed for the release of Fusion. This was a major oversight and hurts track central and the game. This is such an obvious fix that was mentioned well over a year ago and repeateded. It's quite simple...there is no way your making anything decent in under 8 hours. One track upload limit per 72 hours. You know people will think twice about wasting it on a "ninja training" release.
I always laugh at these training tracks or challenges. What are you actually training for...a full ninja track in a video game? Haha. Just put in a little time and make a track. I'm guilty of making little challenges myself, but they're more involved than a 2 cent object with no decor.
Track comments should also be on each track. An animated thumbnail would be great, but I don't doubt that would require faster bandwidth and stronger servers. Even better...a page for noted creators to customize with all their tracks on it, maybe a quick compilation, and custom video. Maybe next Fusion...but let's face it....TC is a ghost town. Top tracks receive a fraction of the downloads....even if you figure in the multi platforming. Instead of 50k downloads in a week, you'll see 2k.
I still enjoy putting tracks up though, so thanks RL for giving us TC.

@VEGASTRASH Does it mean my "tuto" tracks are c*** ? :'(
+1 for upload limit
+1000 for a better Track central![]()
I guess you were in cryo-sleep when what's-his-bum got his entire Fusion track list removed, eh? If someone wants to be a butt, they'll get theirs in the end.
And tracks are handled by Ubi's servers, not RedLynx anymore. So saying RL is ignoring the community is wrong. RL passes their concerns along to their bosses, who in turn have to work with Microsoft or Sony, to police content on their networks. That is my understanding of it based on posts here & there so it's really just a guess.
I have to say, I'm not a fan of tutorial challenges...but I like the layout you have. Same for the CP1, CP2, CP3...etc.Originally Posted by Jeruhnq Go to original post
If everyone uploaded separate checkpoints for every ninja track...imagine how flooded TC would be with it.
I figure, you have the ability to create a nice track...just make one and you have, from what I've seen.
I understand the point of breaking down a track, but with 30 likes per cp1, cp2...is it even worth breaking the track up?
I'm sure there are others who like the cp1/tutorial challenge, but to me, it just clogs the feed. It's ultimately RL fault for not capping uploads. So we have what there is now, TC flooded with crap. I would bet more people would use it, if they implemented it better. Incorporate it into multiplayer (which doesn't exist yet and when it does, nobody will be playing), put a "track of the day" up. Creator of the week under "Featured". There are so many things they overlooked and more so, didn't care much about because TC is a small niche, in a small title. Why spend the time? Thing such as RL picks and Featured are very easy to watch over. You have "community manager specialists" etc on here who do nothing with it...come on. I know it's not their only task, but this would be top on my list, if I were in their seat. I would bring it up to the project manager of the game, if they didn't acknowledge it.
Brutal rant...it's all about passion...haah
So Jeruhq, I recall one of your tracks being well coded and looking good. I'd love to see more tracks from you, but maybe just extreme level...your ninja skills are just too fierce.
In the end, people make what they like to...makes sense, but there should be sections for challenges/tutorials, etc. TC is an honest joke when you look at what's up there. Maybe 3% are actual tracks, decor and driveline.
I have tracks who are already done and not uploaded because i wait an update to fix them =/ (cf. my signature)Originally Posted by VEGASTRASH Go to original post
But sorry, if redlynx doesn't improved the track central... You will probably don't see "real new" tracks from me or "easy" tracks.
Curently, all tracks i made are remake or something easy to do because the track central is not good and not many people will download the tracks.
So, I just make tuto tracks + hard tracks because i know people will see these tracks and btw will improve their level x)
Track central could be really better at least with this few things (in my opinion) :
- Upload limit (1 upload per 48 hours)
- Better rating system (5* was great, maybe the abilty the rate the decoration & driving line separated)
- 48 hours feed (and not weekly)
- 1 weekly feed (all types of track)
ps: i agree with you when you say CP tracks etc should not take places in the top feeds
