day 1 patches aren't made in a few hours, they are afaik made in the time between sending the game to be printed and distributed which takes a while
day 1 dlc is stupid indeed
i don't know about regulating early access, if people want to throw money at games based on some promises without proof of concept or anything then i'm ok with that, the fact that the game is released means the info about what is in it is know, the concept is still fairly new so what people want from the model will change, for me personaly it will be hard to get scammed by early acces nowadays and was lucky enough not to get scammed by it when they still could have
well finished doesn't exist in that case for some games because the devs are still working on new features for potentially many years, and pretty much all games i play are stable when i buy them
and as long as they don't start on the next trials too soon then fusion is one of those, time will tell when support stops
Nowadays that mentality has changed, they think "we'll just make a patch whenever there is a problem" and doesn't this mean that the game is stable to begin with?
there is only so much a q/a team can do compared to "millions" of people playing the game

True, they aren't made in a few hours, but if the game needs a day 1 patch, they missed some crucial things.
Yes, early access is good in some ways, but I still have the feeling it affected the normal gaming-industry because it's so popular.
I don't think making a patch whenever there is a problem means it's a stable game, most of the first game-patches have basic fixes that should have been fixed prior to release, but ofcourse some problems can't be avoided. And yes, a q/a team can't find everything, but isn't that what beta-stage is for? It's easy nowadays to make this part of the development open for people to help test. It saves them money, and they can find alot of bugs with 'free' testers. Wich alot of companies already do these days.
Maybe it's just me and I always buy the unstable games

I've bought some early access version of a game before and that game pretty much shut down after a few months (it was server based).
And another early access version the developer pretty much hasn't been seen for a year.
I know it's my own fault/risk but still feel ripped off if a server/game simply stops develop very soon.
I've become a LOT more careful since.
There are a few free games that I casually play and are still in development (as far as fixes/additions go) for years and I still enjoy those even while it hasn't cost me anything.

So far I still feel Fusion is worth the full € I paid, and that's with 3 DLC still to come, & stuff like teams/multiplayer, I did not buy this for multiplayer only however.

I just got the game and season pass for $25 and am having a lot of fun with it. Never played a Trials game before due to not having a Xbox but I am happy I get to play it now. I don't know if I look forward to the extreme levels though. Some of the challenges are hard enough to do on Medium.
