I got my first world record last night!!!

I finished WotM with about 400 faults and 5 seconds left on the clock. I was the LAST run on the leaderboard! That's right, I managed to take longer and complete the track with more faults than everyone who completed the track before me on PC. Amazing.

Apparently those of you who stayed up late to play the DLC are way better than me at doing stepped inclines (you know the part I'm talking about). I redid the run right after and took off about 300 faults though, sadly.

Now I'm going to study some of the harder obstacles (god damn incline with a bump half way up......) and try for a faultless run maybe next week..

What part of the track did YOU think was the hardest?

Also, what is with the leaderboards? I feel like just by purchasing the DLC's, you end up way higher on the leaderboards by default. What ever happened to the split leaderboards from previous installments of the franchise? It makes me feel dirty inside.

The reason you feel higher up on the leaderboard when you do the dlc tracks is becuase you are....its that simple. By doing a track that other people that dont have the dlc didnt do you are climbing I feel that this is very unfair and should be fixed with a dlc + career leaderboard like in evo....thats just imo

That damn incline. I know exactly which bit you mean.

For me id say that the hardest bits are the 'magic marker' obstacle and the 'great fire' repeated bunny hop sections...dows that make sense? Lol

No. I reckon I could go back and rinse those now. I'm going to. Magic marker can do one.

Oh.....you mean the repeated obstacles? I was proper ranting last night at the missus how Way of the machine was a mish mash of all my worst obstacles combined. You have a point. I hate you red lynx. Don't get me started on that Roach challenge. x

You may have been in last place, but check how many scores are on the leaderboard for Gone Clubbin' vs. WotM. That should cheer you up.

Geodiedeviant - It is not often I laugh out loud at forum posts - but I so clearly identified with having a rant at the missus about trials (and her looking at me like "why are you deliberately hurting yourself"), and the comment about WotM being all the worst obstacles combined.... That freaking magic marker ramp with the freaking bomb after the second ramp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think the most frustrating thing with WotM is that you know that it is not that difficult an obstacle, and exactly what you are supposed to do, but the margin between success and failure is so tiny that you end up stuffing up out of fear of stuffing up..... I am down to 30 faults, and I reckon 25 of them came on those two obstacles plus that stupid triple hop thing onto the purple tube..... I hate that thing.
Any track that makes me so mentally tormented must be a classic.....

The worst part for me was the 4 consecutive bunny hops. I gave myself an extra challenge by completing WotM 0 fault + Mind Control challenge. Finally managed to do it (around 7 hours trying in total), but that was the worst obstacle for me.
