I would like to see an ability to have more than 18 players per match. Many other games are able to host matches of 30 and more players. The area that is given in the editor is so vast, that with only 18 players, utilizing this area in the editor is not practical. Most of the area is used for background decorating. Larger player counts per game could allow for a variety of game styles, as well as a mixture of open areas, and close quarters, without causing large distances between players. If this was used along with the ability to choose where each teams players spawn, there could be massive invasion type maps, large scale attack and defend, OR, 30 player death match, every one for themselves type matches. Also, only having 18 players per game makes clan matched difficult as more than 18 players usually want to attend!
Great suggestion GW! I can imagine the kinds of battles we could have with 32-48 players. I think in Modern Warfare 2 they called this Ground War? This wouldn't really work with the current hosting system, so I can't wait to hear what FC4 has to offer in that respect.
I'd also love to see a mode with 5 Domination Points instead of 3. That would make it almost like BF's Conquest.
I would like to see the game been stable for 16 players, FC3 only allowed 14 in multiplayer and was a complete mess.
Far Cry 2 on PS3 was also a mess online, very unstable with players dropping from matches and having trouble getting back in.
The Instincts Series of games had appalling host advantages and again had problems with players been kicked for no reason.
I don't know about this stuff but a lot say it is down to Net Code - whoever writes it should maybe get moved sidewards to empty the trash or something and bring in someone from Bungie or another company who get it right.
If FC4 ships and the MP is stable then brilliant so I would hope for 16 players and a stable smooth experience, If they can't do it with 14 on FC3 then can they do it with 32 on FC4 - a different company sure but what Ubisoft game has been given praise for multiplayer reliability, I can't think of any unfortunately.
Fingers crossed with FC4 - Do I need to hold my breath though.
They still have not shown us anything yet - we don't know how many players, what modes - not seen even an image.
yh more isnt always better. Recently i also have been playing BF4 (64 players) conquest. In my opinion most of the maps in BF4 are too small or too open for these large games. Im more in the respawn menu then on the battlefield. Thats no fun at all.In BF we can choose to have 64 or 32 player slots, I would love to chose between 16 or 32 players depending on the map size.
32vs32 means also 32 crosshairs to dodge and without enough cover thats pretty hard.

I think you would have to be pretty confident that you have cracked the MP before increasing the player limit that high. Possibly the maximum number of players could be increased as a patch/update if the MP really takes off?
