    Hello,

In the next patch, there will be an option to disable the frameskipper. So, you'd be back at the situation of the Patch 3.0 when you disable it.
It should be here at some point in September.

Really glad to hear about the option being put in, En0. Thanks!

Might I suggest that the frameskipper option should be disabled by default as well? I mean, it is only needed if you can't get a solid 60fps in the first place. Therefore, it should be an optionable enable for low performance computers only.

Perhaps this is something you guys are already doing/had in mind. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Please pass on thanks to all the PC team, I really am grateful that work is being done to try and make the PC platform stronger. Just wish this whole frameskipper patch would have been pulled immediately upon finding out the performance hit it caused, instead of being stuck waiting a month for it get fixed somehow. But, that is just my backseat opinion. I'm sure it's easier said than done as I understand things are often more complex than they seem.

    Hello,

We'd prefer to keep the frame skipper enable by default because that's how games should work. Also, even if we add the option, we're going to improve the frame skipper to solve some of the issues (like the restart to the checkpoint that was skipping many frames, and other optimizations) for the next patch and also after.

We didn't catch the issue with the frame skipper when we implemented and tested it. The problem is that the number of hardware configuration is infinite and we can test only on 10/12 configurations about. We find out that even 2 players with the same hardware configuration can have different behaviour depending on what they have installed and what is running at the same time. It's hell to get it right for all cases but we try to cover more and more cases.

    Regards,

Are the new updates being tested with a lower end computer?

    Hello,

It's always tested with a lower end computer.
Some of the issues come from some configurations using a big GPU with a small CPU. Also, depending on graphic settings used and what is running in background...
That's where the coverage falls short.

Ok I was just wondering Im really crossing my fingers right now because the later dlc levels are kind of unplayable at 20 fps with low graphics and all backround programs closed :/

    Hello,

The last DLCs are consuming more resources (more things to render) than the base game.
We'll add an option to disable the frame skipper for people who are having problems with it in the next patch. In the following patch, we'll probably add an option to help low configurations.

    Cheers,
