Too expensive to have credible leaderborads for a game based around leaderborads.

Just trying to explain a decision and I probably have visibility that you don't have... Looks like I always try to help by the way, so don't jump on me please

If you want credible leaderboards, be constructive and help. It's a community based game, right?

How about clearing the top 10 for Ski and Ride and Observatory for each platform? They are the worst offenders

It was not my intention to jump on you, I just find it hard to see why this would not be a top priority for a very competitive game based around leaderboards.

The main issue as others have said is removing a small number of highlighted coffin runs does not fix the leaderboards it just shifts people who have had their runs reset below others that have not but still have coffin runs.

The compromise that was mentioned of making the top 20 or so clean sounded fair but people are obviously getting a bit concerned as there is no external indications of progress.

Im sure the community would love to help, how about setting up a official way for reporting coffin runs and a way of seeing what runs have been reported and their progress so there is not lots of duplicated reports?

En0, surely it's easier (and less expensive) to just completely delete every single time on the LBs and start again?

I'd say keep the extreme times though as people would have really struggled to 0 fault the extremes, and I don't think that the FMXploit gives much of an advantage on extreme tracks.

The way I see it, people still playing the game are big fans, and are either getting better all of the time, so will improve their times, or they are at a consistent level where they could match their current times.

In my opinion, the only people who wouldn't want a LB reset would be casual players, who probably aren't even playing anymore, or they don't really care about the LBs that much.

I honestly believe that doing a complete LB reset (on everything except for the extremes) would inject new life in to the game. People who were annoyed about the FMXploit and quit playing the game because of it will come back to fusion. They would probably buy the dlc as well because the LBs would have it's integrity back.

En0, what is the reason that a complete LB reset won't happen? If it's also too expensive, I'd really appreciate your honesty, just like I respected your honesty when you said it would be too expensive to have everyone working to remove the coffin runs individually. Also, do you think that people would be more likely to buy dlc with a genuine, cheat free LB?

This is your point of view, Which is dumb. Imagine all the top speedrunners who have played this game for multiple days. Do you think they want their world records getting reset? C'mon dude. Doing this would completely destroy trials (what's left of it) And the only people who would still be around are players who are less talented and trackcentral speedrunner/ninjas.

Resetting all the leaderboards now, +6 months after release is ridiculous. If they did it when they fixed the exploit, sure, but now? It's far too late for that...

    PS4 Dirt Derby:

    Rank 1-3:
    IP-MAN-51
    End_Of_Assembly
    GusVish

If RedLynx could take a look at these it would be so nice I would have the record on this track if it wasn't for 3 coffin runs beating me by a tenth or two, if you guys can look at this and observatory for Jeruhnq then at least the record holder (the replay people will mostly look at ) of these 2 tracks are legit

I disagree. I didn't think people would mind having to do their times again because they would move up the leaderboard because there would be people above them who cheated to get their score. When you hit a level, you pretty much get that same time very easily. Whenever I'm trying to improve my time on a track I get within 0.05 - 0.1 of my best time pretty consistently.

Obviously I'm wrong though judging by the fact that the first two comments are against this idea. It just annoys me that my LB position isn't correct because there are thousands of people who cheated to beat me on some tracks. My overall rank on X1 was 303 last night. Now there's no way that I should be ranked 5000 something on a couple of tracks! PS4 is even worse! I'm ranked about 300 something last time I checked, but on one or two tracks I'm not even in the top 10k! I just want a true leaderboard score.

Although having said that, when online MP is released I probably won't care about the leaderboards any more except for the hardcore trials leaderboard.
