FC4 More footage (bear, elephants can die, grapple)

According to Jack, devs have been working on multiplayer for years

"Use your wingsuit to rejoin Willis."
    Yeah, he is back.

I can't wait for this game.

    Yeah, you are right.
I assume that's probably because he started with Far Cry 3 or he didn't play any other FC multiplayer.

Not sure I'm going to like the Shangri-La fantasy stuff. The graphics and gameplay in it don't look that appealing, and it looks too easy and obvious. I'd rather instead of the masked guys standing out in the open seeing you coming, have some fortresses and catacombs where the sound, lighting and surprise appearances of them actually create some mood and atmosphere. Combine that with some intimidating creatures and you'd have a better experience I think. Maybe even having to light your way with a hand held torch or torches on walls.

I also didn't see much sense to having to use a grapple where there's already a rope and pitons set in place.

The camera certainly looks better without all the clutter of those little squares though, but I hope this time wall hack and enemy icons can be toggled off.

Yeah but he really sucks at playing it. I had to stop watching after he biffed the wingsuit takeoff. LOL

At least I found out one thing I wanted to know, throwing knives are retrievable!

Don't worry about multiplayer gameplay. I know a couple of die hard FC fans that will play this game for a long while

    @Fallen Champ:
    Thanks for a video bud
It looks like iin shangri la they speak the native language.

This you see the death animation when that knife stabbed him? A lot better than in most games.

My favorite part is when he threw grenade inside a helicopter and boom! Chopper down

Dapper pointed out that there is a prompt to skin the elephant - Really odd as the player walks past at 08:46 where you see a flash over the elephants body, (no prompt to skin) then on returning there is a prompt to skin at 08:52 (Hold square to skin)

As Dapper said we were told that the Elephant would be the only animal in the game which we can't skin - very strange.

I recall it being said that they can't be killed. Skinning is entirely different. Once such an animal is dead by someone else's hand there's no moral obligation to it. In fact better to use it's carcass to aid in killing it's assailants than leave it to rot.

They can be killed - the lunatic in the vid above shows that.

I always thought skinning had been turned off with Elephants - Some of the info I found on that can be viewed in THIS thread.

Maybe they changed their policy or they are clueless that Elephants can still be skinned in the game after saying they couldn't be.
