But the developers have heard your concerns regarding the map making system and multiplayer in general. Thank you.
Thanks for that I am pestering them constantly to get answers though, would really be a shame if it isn't back to the quality of Far Cry 2's in my opinion.

I agree with this, but if we can make solid SP maps then that would be something special for me as I prefer making SP based maps, just imagine in a Far Cry game being able to make your own quests and Storylines, with a voice input dialogue for AI. I'm sure that would be possible and it would be something very special for the Franchise, not expecting anything like that too soon though

SP=CO-OP, we need to able to play our own SP maps with atleast 4 people to make it fun.

Thank you Misty, but how do we know they've heard this? The devs need to know that the editor is useless without these hosting options. They might as well not waste the time adding the editor if we don't get a public lobby system. Massive was all rainbows and unicorns about the FC3 editor and we see what happened, they couldn't even fix it after they released the game. If they don't do the work now it can't be fixed later.

Someone from Rain City Gamers talked to a UBI spokesman yesterday about lobbies, check out the article on Battlemap.

    http://battlemap.net/forum/far-cry-4...?start=10#6037

Looking at gameplay that is shown on PAX this year which is again the same outpost as shown on E3 and Gamescom makes me wonder how on track this game actually is, FC3 got marketed as single player title and pretty much had the entire plot uncovered before release and now we have to feed on what exactly ?

Im not expecting any miracles on the MP but with all that competition you are holding back on selling your own game.

I would like to hear some news about the MP soon from UBI.
Please confirm will there be browser and lobby or not?

This is what map makers want to do. In Far Cry 3 why bother spending hours making awesome maps if you will literally never get to play in them? If I can't host a lobby, then realistically what happens is I'll join the server... some 5-minute map comes up and everybody quits. It's really NOT a good system. What was the logic there??? Was the logic that all maps would get an equal chance for play? Well, nice try in THEORY, but in REALITY, it doesn't work well..
    This is totally true.

Good post Greg and I seriously hope its done right this time, in a way comparable to Far Cry 2.

Also requesting this thread be pinned.

Hey Sabs. I started this thread hoping to get someone's attention, but its just shouting into the void. Unless someone within Ubi already understood that the FC3 hosting was a ridiculous fustercluck, we are going to get the exact same thing I fear.

I still can't fathom that people who get paid to design and implement online gameplay failed so horribly with FC3. And in Ubi's infinite wisdom, they were immediately given ANOTHER game to develop that is...wait for it...online only

Everyone knows the mapper hosting a playlist was much better. You know it, I know it, anyone reading this knows it too. Look at how long the FC2 MP lasted with good numbers playing, while the FC3 MP fell flat on it face after a few weeks.

I mean, seriously, if its gonna be anything like the FC3 MP lobby/matchmaking instead of players hosting a list of their own maps etc same as FC2, I think the whole gaming industry will see how crazy Ubi are for rolling out the same stuff as FC3.

But lets cross our fingers until we get some confirmation either way.

I simply will not preorder this game without confirmation of something along the lines of the FC2 lobby system. I'm a map maker first. A MP player 2nd and a SP player 3rd. I've been a part of this from the very first console game. I so sick of Ubisoft it's absolutely insane and yet they're STILL going on like business as usual. This is EXACTLY how they treated us pre FC2. This is EXACTLY how they went about things pre FC3. Ubisoft either hasn't learned or doesn't care. I, however, have learned. They don't get a dime from me until their long time dedicated fans have what they deserve.

Man I guess I got a flashing sign on my head that says stupid I got fc4 thinking ubi has to listen to us. Thinking they care about the core gamer. They do want to make a good game with what we all want but alas they dont no creative mp maps you can make single player maps but who wants to do that? They once aain showed they dont give a **** and that sucks with this and the comments made about turnung 60 dollar gamers 200 dollar gamers and them now thinking we all want 24/7 connection with our ubi gams online all the time I will never buy anything ubisoft again one more thing anyone have contact info like customer service or anything they seem to hqve a no contact policy lolv
