Track Jam 2 - Finalists Revealed

    UPDATE:

There have been some awesome entries for Track Jam 2, and we wish that everyone who entered could be in the finalist pool. Unfortunately we've had to cut down the list to just 5, and while there are some tracks that could absolutely be in this list, we've had to become VERY harsh in our criticisms and even something as small as the difficulty of a section had an impact on our results. There were quite a few tracks that included some fairly extreme obstacles. Due to the level of skill shown by other participants in decoration and driving lines, extreme obstacles (and Ninja in some cases) counted against their creators. It's not that we disliked any of these tracks, it's that we performed our judging based upon the guidelines set out for Track Jam 2 submissions.

Will your selections be different? Possibly, but we're pretty sure that every can at least agree that the finalists deserve their shot based upon the tracks that they submitted.

Are you ready to meet your Trials Track Jam 2 Contest Finalists?

Our Finalists have been selected. From over 40 entries we've whittled it down to 5. We even had Shogun show up to the office on his holiday to make sure he was able to fight for his favorite tracks. So you better believe, this is srs bzns.

There are no 'placed' winners for Round One, every finalist is on a level playing field, the following is in alphabetical order.

    Spoiler:  Show
    Blackbird56695
    KALzzone8
    kid m p c
    Monstified
    SmEgHeAd89

These five are being contacted through the email addresses that they provided in their submission forms, so HOPEFULLY they didn't use fake emails. Can we get a round of applause, or some "Congrats" posts here in the thread? These guys deserve it, as do all of the builders who entered Track Jam 2.

Did you miss out on Track Jam?
Do you have what it takes to build something that can garner the adoration and support of voters the world over?
There wasn’t enough time for you to complete a track that you were happy about?

Trials Track Jam 2 is here!
Starting on August 5th, 2014, Players are invited to create new tracks for the First Round of Track Jam 2, as we’ve just released the Riders of the Rustlands DLC, we ask that players use some of the editor pieces from this DLC to show off what can be done.

Track Jam 2 will be broken down into two Rounds:

    Round One:
    • August 5th to 18:00 CET August 25th - First Round Submissions Open

    • Create and submit custom tracks via Track Central on Trials Fusion (Xbox One, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 or PC). Uploaded entry must follow the naming convention “TTJ2C Track Name”.
    • Finished track should be inspired by the general aesthetics (“look and feel”) of Trials Fusion, its futuristic visuals (concept art/screenshot assets for reference can be downloaded on http://trials.ubi.com/trials-portal) and editing items that each DLC contains.
    • There is no track length restriction, but optimal track length for completion is 20 seconds to 40 seconds.
    • The finished track should have a difficulty evaluation of Beginner to Hard.
    • Full Track Jam details available at the Trials Portal
    • Full Rules available via this link
    • Once custom track is uploaded, entrant should fill out the entry form at http://trials.ubi.com/trials-portal/...est/index.aspx and refer back to finished track name.

    Round Two:
August 26th to September 16th – Round 2 Build Time / Online Voting

    • Our Grand Prize winner receives additional prizing

    • 1x custom Trials Fusion controller

Could you be the next Trials Track Jam Champion? There’s only one way to find out.

This is great news and all,
but give me one good reason why under 18s, more specifically 17 year olds who are one month away from their 18th birthday, cannot participate?
It almost killed me the last time I couldn't take part
I wouldn't even care about the prizes, having the ability to compete against friends on the forum is enough of an award, especially if you win (Not that I would however ;P).
Just you watch guys, next track jam, whenever/ if it ever happens. ILL BE THERE!

Nice! I will be attending but I have a question regarding the following:

I'm not sure if I get it right but does the theme have to be futuristic, so no "historical"?

Hey Shifty,Good to see another comp arrive. Is there a certain reason for extreme tracks not included in this comp build? just curious & would have been good to see extremes included too. Thanks

I believe they avoided it to avoid some people seeing it as an opportunity to post and EXTREMELY hard extreme track - maybe even a ninja track. As good as some of the redlynx devs are at the game, completing what potentially could be hundreds on tricky extreme tracks is very time consuming

It can get far more complicated to allow entry for minors.

If the pieces from Riders of the Rustlands inspires you to create an historically themed track, then you are free to do so.

Then just lie about your age. If you don't care about prizes, or don't believe you'll win, simply ride the publicity & get disqualified on the 25th
