Hoy!

Just put up new easy trials track called ALHW Sugar Rush on the PC TrackCentral.
It's a pretty short track. Quick build. Nothing special. I was originally gonna make a skillgame for the Unicorn Homework Challenge, but I ended up scrapping the first two skillgames and ran out of time on the third. So this track was made pretty fast and there are alot of flaws, but I still hope you'll enjoy it. Every bike kinda works on this track except the bunny. It ended up missing all the ramps so I left it out. I do reccomand trying the track with the donkey or the quad though, as they're hella fun!
Cheers
- Max

edit - Awesome! nice puzzles no glitches that I found. I kind of failed in a few areas to get the solution quickly which was hopefully just due to my tiredness atm. I am curious how you get objects to trigger events though? It has been bugging me for awhile!
Amazing effort again!
Ah neat, would love some first reaction to the track! Im guessing you're already done streaming by now, but any chance you recorded it and have a link to that broadcast?Originally Posted by pArA8D Go to original post
Also glad that you like the track even though I think some of the levels may be a bit hard. I should have probebly made some more signs or something like that to help the player when he/she is stuck and in doubt of what to do next. Oh well.
When it comes to bugs I found a few here and there after realese, like a sound bug at the start when you pick up the gun, a few objects out of place, and some physics objects kinda getting in the way of other events. But it works after all and isn't really that noticeble unless you have played the map over a hundred times, like me :P.
When it comes to triggering events with objects I genuienly use hit triggers or area triggers, where in both you scroll down to "Trigger by" and then you point to the specific object or object type you want to trigger the event.
Yaeah you're right about that. I guess when I put it in the easy category I based it on how experienced of a trials rider you would have to be, and considering there are no bikes involved in this game it ended in the easy category. Ofc I see now by the amount of downloads compared to players who completed it, it aint that easy. Hehe oh well, lesson learned. Glad you liked the track though!Originally Posted by En0- Go to original post![]()
Good skill game. Reminds me a lot of portal(2), which is in my top 3 games ever made. The only problem I had is the lack of checkpoints. I was about 5 levels in when I accidentally pressed B (cz I'm used to pressing B in trials when something doesn't go my way) and found myself in the beginning. That might also be why many people are downloading and not being able to finish.
Yeah I can certainly see the frustration building up after 10 minutes of puzzles and then you're sent back to start, by accident. To be honest, a checkpoint system was actually built in while making the track, but thanks to poor planning I hit the total complexity limit half way through the last level. To finish the last level I had to trim down the track and then checkpoints were removed cause they didn't serve much purpose. There were no where in the level you could actually "fail". I guess I also thought that ppl wouldn't hit B. Oh well, thank you for pointing it out. I'll keep it in mind while building other tracks.Originally Posted by damassacre Go to original post![]()
