    Okay En0, so basically.

People usually, and I'm talking 95%+, buy trials for the leaderboards. To see how high they can rank, to see where they are put against everyone else who have played the game. That is the BASE GAME, and that is pretty much ALL people play trials for. If you can honestly say that it's fair for people who have bought the game to compete on the global leaderboards and were not intending on buying the DLC, or can't afford the DLC, to be basically forced to buy it otherwise their whole 2 and a half months of climbing the leaderboards means nothing., none of this bs' I'm an employee so I can't say what I actually think' please.

The way I see it this game is getting close to those other games like those IPod games or Fifa, where basically the only way you can get high in the world is to spend real money on it. If you buy a Trials game you should be able to compete without being forced to buy the DLC.

I don't know about 95%, but the portion of players that care about their score/position is significant.

Thank you for saying this Venomz. I was afraid that the DLC purchasers weren't going to say anything about it because it wouldn't really affect them. Even though you bought the DLC, you still see how shady it is.

I'm really surprised this is even a question that needs to be asked. Not having separate a leaderboard invalidates all prior effort one put into speed running. There is no advantage or fairness to the player doing this whatsoever. Advantage only to devs/publisher. This is not bashing, this is a fair critiscism.

@Anyone saying Trials is just a game, you're in the wrong place.

To clarify my previous rant, I am happy either way, but understand the logic behind people wanting an Original and original plus DLC (note - Original plus DLC - not DLC on its own - There should be a champion of everything). My concern was the tone of the discussion.

    If the discussion went:

    Dear RL,
Can we please have the DLC leaderboard seperate as per evo. My reasons for this are .....

Rather than the "oh my I can't believe you cocked the leaderboards up ahhhhhhhh I am going to blame ISIS and Palestine and WW II on Redlynx" style we get.

It is the approach, not the issue. Trials is not just a game - it is a state of mind and an obsession, but that does not mean we need to be trolls or 12...

This argument is getting as old as the abusive complaints. Anyone with decency knows this already. A very small number of people are trolling while others are genuinely frustrated due to lack of communication years since before Fusion. We're only human and even the best of us (both devs and players) can behave inappropriately out of frustration - I'm not excusing it, but it's only human.

Let's keep this focussed on the topic of leaderboards.

Seriously. Not everyone in this world is blessed with meaningful things in their lives that bring them peace and joy. That what video games are for, for many people. Thats what trials is(was?) for me. So I fully understand why anyone would Righteously defend trials hd/evo and why they believe the franchise is doomed. Some of us can't just "not buy the game". It means so much more.

Responding to issues with heated fervor Is not abuse. It speaks volumes for just how much something is a problem and/or just how shocking it is that the problem exists in the first place. This conversation really shouldn't be happening. This is another low blow for trials fusion.

Keeping on topic and not being a **** about it, the omission of a Global+DLC LeaderBoard is pretty shabby imo.

Real question: How hard is it to seperate leaderboards? Isn't it just a matter of selecting certain scores and adding them up? I'm no programmer but I can't imagine how that could be difficult considering that, given a bunch of scores arbitrarily split into different categories, I could easily do it in the editor or Java. (Please enlighten me if I'm wrong)

If it's not that difficult, then you should have one leaderboard with an option on the side to turn off/on each DLC. That way no matter what combination of DLC I have, I can get a fair leaderboard.

I'm guessing we are going to here something about servers.

My question that I have, is what do these omissions bring to the table? That is to say, they're taken out for a reason, to...make the game better? I'm curious to know what good this brings us.
