People come, people go.Still finding a bunch of great tracks to play. The Leaderboard thing sucks and I disagree with having just one but it really has little impact on, at minimum, 95% of the people playing the game. Most people do not have the desire, skill, time or patience required to be a top player. Most just want to have fun, "Which I recall was the point of playing games." At most they want to beat the people on their friends lists that are beatable.

I will add that if I had a gold coin for every time someone said they would never buy a game again, yet came back and bought the next edition.

Except the people that are going are the ones who have been playing since HD and even T2SE, and put a ridiculous amount of time into the series. Not just top riders, Trials fans in general.

You don't have to be a top rider to care about your global position. You are heavily underestimating the amount of people who care about their ranking.

How am I underestimating anything? We are both just guessing about how many people care about their ranking. You can't base it on a message board, that much is for sure. I see the problems, complaints and agree with many of them. I also happen to think there are plenty of people, "cutting off their nose to spite their face."

Well I'm not exactly talking about a few people coming and going, I'm talking a very large chunk of this once thriving community. That level of talent/knowledge took years to develop and now its gone. There could be many more good tracks and even amazing tracks out of the gate if that weren't the case. Having people like that around also helps to speed up the development of new players/builders and in turn make the game/community richer. It's not something I'd fob off so casually.

That's a great point, Dahaka. With the more experienced players/builders leaving, the new players have less sources to get inspired by and learn from.

Without unified leaderboards, ranking is almost useless anyhow. All valid points on the dlc rank being separate. It's no longer a true rank, as the dlc is part of it. As mentioned, only 10% of players get the dlc, so you're competition is among 100k...not 1 million.
The thing about rank is....very few actually care or have a lot of hours/days on Trials. The majority barely log 24hrs on the game. Compare this to someone who has months played. Who are you really beating then? It's similar to comparing a pro athlete to a kid in pee wee league. Not many have 100s of hours logged on Trials...except on the forum maybe.
You need unified leaderboards. I'm 13th now on PS4. Nooby Tuesday on there. I used to care more about ranking, but the fluff rank system now kills it.
The funny thing about these forums and irate fans is...they will usually continue to buy the product, but complain the most...I'm no different. A few who are turned off will not impact the franchise at all. Much like a band who comes out with a rough recording. They'll lose a few fans, but gain a whole new audience.
DLC needed more tracks, outfits, etc...but the theme, driveline, and decor....are impressive....more tracks, lose the challenges...just useless.

I seem to remember a similar post from you during the Evo years. You said all never again, blah blah blah. You also said you'd never use these new forums again and you were done.
    Nobody leaves.

It was never a true rank to begin with and without a tournament mode it never will be.

Yes, the DLC was suprisingly good. Good tracks, cool skill game, nice looking theme.

Challenges have zero replayability, most of us here on the forum want just plain tracks instead
of challenges but UbiLynx has a different vision with Fusion. Its aimed at a different crowd than us.
Still i say its awesome that Twitchy and them made those hidden ninja tracks JUST for us and they did it in
their own free time so at least we can respect that. Well i do.
Even the dlc extreme has a ninja version, they did not have to do that but they did.

I will always be grateful for the amazing game that was Trials Evolution, i cant hate RedLynx.
Just because im dissapointed with Fusion doesnt mean i cant still have fun with it.
I choose to ignore all the negatives and focus only on the positive, its still Trials after all.
I love Trials more than i hate Fusion.

Idea if anyone at RL is listening.

Once you unlock the ninja version or the case I'm referencing, the wormfood challenge (which is a track in itself), there should be a timer reset on these so people can compete. I found that wormfood ****ing infuriating using Dual Shock 4 cos I'm not used to it, but it's a great looking track and I'd say in parts harder than the extreme track in the DLC.

Same goes for that magnet extra. Have it so the times are recorded somehow and people can compete. That's what this game is about. Competition. And you know it.
