All of you are wrong. The skyline comes exclusively as right hand drive. They are made mainly for japan only and a few for Europe. Im not going to say there arent any conversions out there because there are, which is stupid in my opinion because that is expensive to do. Just because you change the side the steering wheel is on doesnt mean you can import it to certain countries. Take the US for example. Newer skylines arent over here yet because they dont meet federal regulations, like DOT, emissions etc. The only way to get a skyline over here without spending a lot of money is if it meets the classic car rule which is 25 years for the US and 15 years for Canada. Now other countries arent as strict as we are over here so you can import skylines there but most of these countries I believe drive on the same side of the road as Japan does so no point in converting this car to left hand drive unless you have a bunch of money and nothing else to do. The newer skylines (not 25 years or 15 years and older) that are here in the US or Canada, except the R35 because that is made for the US, are mostly here illegally but most people dont know the regulations you have to go through, but if someone does catch them with it bye bye because it will get impounded and crushed. Trust me I have looked all this stuff up. I have wanted to import an R34 skyline to the US for a long time, but I have to wait another 10 years to do so. So I agree the skyline in the game should be converted to right hand drive.
If it does get converted then it would just give me a headache being used with cars having left hand drive, but luckily we got third person cameras. I tried driving it in games where it is RHD and it really annoyed me, I don't care about realism on that part. The Skyline is my favourite car and I'd get very sad if they do change it and sincerely hope they don't.
So without sounding like a complete idiot, would it be possible just to mirror the cockpit view?Originally Posted by DeceitfulFox Go to original post
Just to point out but the Nissan Skyline was not officially released in the US or most of Europe till the Nissan GT-R in 2009, this includes:Originally Posted by wuggie88 Go to original post

Nissan Skyline R32
Nissan Skyline R33
These nor any of the variants Like the Nismo 400R versions were not allowed to be released in the North America due to emission levels of the engines and the fact that Nissan refused to fit the Skyline Series with a catalytic converter because it would have reduced the performance of the vehicle.
The only way to get your hands on a Nissan Skyline in North America was to have what is called a Grey Import, while technically illegal, they are allowed in the country because they are supposed to be detuned and outfitted with a speed limiting chip was well as having an aftermarket catalytic converter fitted to them, however in most cases these changes were reverted by the new owners (at a later date) once the vehicle had passed inspections for use on North American roads, also you cannot get Insurance on a grey import until it has passed it's 5 year inspection test to show that it has remained detuned and is still within the states/countries laws for emission levels.
Oh and one last thing, ALL Nissan Skylines are only officially available in RHD, ANY and ALL LHD versions you find are modified by aftermarket tuners.
The only exception to anything typed before this point is the Nissan Skyline R34, was released in very very few numbers in only a select few states, and there was a very strict set of rules and stuff that had to be passed in order for you to actually purchase one.
The rules that applied to grey imports and the R34 only actually applied to the original buyer, if you bought one from your friend you did not have to jump through any of the hoops the original buyer had to.
Edit: forgot to add this earlier, but I think the OP is correct, the Skyline series of cars in this game should all be RHD, if you want it to be LHD then you should have to have it converted like in the real world and should also cost you a pretty penny too, again to reflect what would need to be done.
