Did they even exist on IL2s? They don`t look real - their destructive power seems silly. I dunno what to believe any more.

They don't seem any more powerful to me than HVARs. And when a Sturmo Type 3 can only carry 4 of these, and a P-38 can carry 10 HVARs, the punch they pack seems reasonable.
Also, it's only lightly-armored and unarmed things that are torn apart by them. As soon as you add any decent amount of armor, only a direct hit will kill.

Well, when you get a pack of cars or motorcycles, the carnage is indeed extreme (though probably not unrealistic). I saw a pack of 16 unarmored cars parked together at an airfield. A pair of these rockets dropped in the middle of them took out all sixteen.
